Miss You
Hello there my crafty friends! I was doing a bit of experimenting with the background on today's card and love the way it came out! Unfortunately it really needs to be seen in person to see all the beautiful detail, but I used white gloss card instead of coconut white card and it gives a beautiful shine to the Pixie powders. I used Aqua Lagoon and Teal Wash Pixie Powders sprinkled on to the white gloss card then spritzed with water. I covered it with cling film to create the texture. I used the Clipped Corner Rectangle dies to made a wide white frame. I added the frame with mounting foam. I cut the Buttercup Floral Panel in both green and powder pink. I nipped the green flower panel away from the edges, then glued the pink flowers on top from the other die cut. I cut the foliage panel in white and nipped it away from the frame. I added both pieces to the frame, then used the Miss You sentiment cut in white at the top of the frame. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/4" in size.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a great technique using the white gloss card instead of the normal one, the pictures are so clear and sharp, as you say they don't do them justice, well all I can say is that they do, I must have a try at this to see if I can get the same effect.
Stunning sample as always
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A lovely card and the background is amazing. It looks good in the photos but I can imagine it is even better in real life.
Love Helen xxx
Hi Sue. It just goes to show that it really is worthwhile experimenting once in a while because I think this background has been a success! You wouldn't want to put too much on top to cover it up and these simple elements are just perfect.
Lisbeth
Hi Sue, what a fabulous background. I also wouldn't want to cover it up. Maybe just a little sentiment adorned with your cute cosmos flowers (others are available) lol and that would show it in all its glory.

Hi Sue, what a great alternative way to use the panel dies, it's lovely. The sheen on the pixied background is beautiful. I would have been scared to use pixies & water on gloss card in case it ran everywhere but you have managed it so I will give it a try.
Frances
Hi Sue
I love your background, and I HAVE shiny cardstock, which has been languishing in my card stock!! I shall rescue this now that I know the effect it has on the pixies!!
I won't be there at 6 am but at 10 am, ready for the release, can't wait!!

Beautiful card!
Love the colours and the shine :))
Another lovely background. I have never used Pixies on gloss paper. With my luck it would have never dried but now I see it can be done and I am sure would add another dimension to the amazing Pixies. Very pretty card.
Stephanie K
The background is absolutely gorgeous and the card is beautiful. Love it.
Hugs from Toronto to you all.
Stay safe and healthy.

Hi Sue and everyone this background is beautiful it looks like polished marble. I thought you had laid threads across the background and dragged them off. If that makes sense.
Hugs Donna xx
Another beauty. How do you do it x
Your backgrounds are always so beautiful, and allow the die to take center stage.
