You're Always In My Heart

Hello there my crafty friends!  I made a caught in crystal background for today's card offering.  I used a piece of clear acetate and added some Pink Topaz and Yellow Citrine Pearl tints all over.  I lightly spritzed them with water to help move them around.  I scrunched up a piece of white tissue paper and laid it over the top.  I tamped it down then set it aside to dry overnight.  Once dry, I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to make a white frame to go around it.  I cut the Decorative Squares to give me a mat for the centre of the frmae.  I inked the Lace Heart Stampcut in black and ran it through the die cutting machine.  Using Distress markers, I cloured the heart and added it to the mat with mounting foam.  I cut the You're Always In My Heart in black and glued it below the heart inside the frame.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all that visit. Is it my eyes fooling me and I've read your method over and over and the heart frame surrounded the centre stampcut looks like you paper peiced in blue then carefully outlined in black. I've just woken up, a lie in for once, does this beautiful hobby make anyone else tired especially if you're on a mission to get cards done and sent off to your customers? Anyway if what I see in this gorgeous inspiration sounds utterly ridiculous and makes me look thick I apologise maybe it's dilarium lol.
Sending much love to everyone and please be safe xxx

Good Morning Sue. What a lovely card to send to a loved one. Perfect for Valentine's day too. I love your backgrounds Sue. You never disappoint me. I have the guilding flakes ... I love them ... I have my lovely pixies ... I love them ... But I have not got around to caught in Crystal YET. That's another avenue I have to try. When any of my backgrounds look like yours do .. I am well happy. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Morning Sue - another stunner! Love the background and the details on the heart. I see what you mean Steph, but I’m going to put my neck on the line (lol) and say I think the blue is distress marker. Really hard to tell though! Colleen x
