Hello Sweet Friend

Hello bloggers!  I embossed a piece of white card for the background on today's card offering.  I used the Twill Weave embossing folder to add texture to the background.  Next I cut the Hello Sweet Friend Slimline All in One out of both white and black card.  I used the black die cut as a shadow behind the white one.  I found a piece of pixie powdered card in my stash that was created using straw yellow and burnt orange pixie powders.   I cut the die again using small pieces of card where the birdhouses were and cut a yellow one, an orange one and a red one and glued them on top of the birdhouses in the original white die cut.  I added the slimline die with mounting foam to the left side of the card.  Using the Home Tweet Home die set, I cut three more birdhouses using the same colours of card and added them on to black stands.  I added black roofs and front sections too.  I glued these three birdhouses to the right side of the card and added a black bird at the top of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  6 1/2"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
