Surprise

Good Sunday morning all!  It's a shaker surprise Birthday card!  I started with a piece of white gloss card and added Indigo and Raspberry Alcohol inks to create a pretty, bright background.  I cut a white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I glued a piece of clear acetate to the back of the frame then added mounting foam all the way around the back of the frame.  I used the Iced Flake as the bits in the shaker card.  I added the backing to the frame to encapsulate the Iced Flake.  I cut the Surprise Big Bold Word Die/Stamp Combo set and glued it to the acetate.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Ohhhhhh lovely. Morning Sue and all that visit.
I do love a shaker card but I'm totally useless at getting them right absolutely hopeless lol even if I watch your videos or demonstrations my brain won't take it in and it must be so easy to do, so can I give you a shout when I start my C.cards for the children included in my orders so you can take me through it step by step - what I should have said is that we have a tiny but comfortable guest bedroom as long as you don't mind sleeping amongst my craft table etc etc lol. A lovely idea especially for the teens. To any friends here from California, stay safe ill be thinking of you and if you can't get to the planned Eagles concert I'll be sad for you too.
Love to all today be safe be well xxx

Hi Sue
Happy Sunday everyone x
Oh yes - a shaker card - love this x
Those colours are absolutely fabulous. At first glance I couldn’t for the life of me guess how you’d done the backyard. (A little game I play - try and guess colours and techniques before reading how you made the card)!
Shaker cards are but a dim and distant memory. Like others I can’t remember the last time I made a shaker card. They always bring such huge smiles to any recipients face x

Good Morning Sue. What a great card today Sue. I love it. I have to be honest here this morning ... I have never made a shaker card ... In all the years I have crafted ... I never made one. But I think ... After reading your fabulous instructions ... I am going to find time to have a play. I have the big bold GREETINGS die. I have the acetate and I am sure I can find something to use as the bits for the shakers. Ha ha ... Nearly there .
Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Hi Sue and everyone what a fantastic card, I too love a shaker card like it seems we all do. However ive made a few in my crafting time although not made one recently. They always seem to be greatly appreciated by my family and friends.
I love the background with the big word die and colours you've chosen and I bet it looks even more sparkly in real life.
Hugs Donna xx

What a good idea to make this card as a shaker. Like others it is a longtime since I made one. Looking a5 the card I couldn’t see the raspberry tones until I saw your close up which really picks it up. Thankyou Sue.

Hi Sue, a lovely CAS card with its own surprise. Love a shaker card and this one would be suitable for so many people. I think I might try this with my 'Christmas' word die and some holly & berries table confetti - if I can find it. Thanks for the idea.
