Good Sunday morning all! I always feel a bit strange sharing a sympathy card, but we all need to send them from time to time unfortunately. Personally I find them a bit difficult to make as I want to make a nice card, but it is for a somber event. I hope you think I found a nice balance with this one. I started with a piece of Pixied card from my stash. I had used Olive Green and Emerald Green on it, then cut the floral panel from the Daisy Floral Panel set three times across the card. I backed it with a piece of white card. I made a wide white frame using the Double Stitched Squares. I added a piece of acetate to the back of the frame then used mounting foam to attach it to the background. I stamped the sending love and sentiment and cut it out with a tag, then added it above the bold Sympathy word, which I cut in white and shadowed with black. I cut the Daisy floral panel then cut out just the two flowers. I coloured them with Distress ink and mounted them in the upper right corner of the frame. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue.
A lovely card thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
I know we'll agree how hard they are, I think we find it hard to separate sombre and sadness from celebrating the life that's just passed which a lot of people prefer to ďo these days with 'happy colours rather than the traditional black, so that being said you've got it right in my books but everyone is different. Sending love to all. Hope our UK family are safe after last night's downpour with no damage inside or out 💓
Hello Sue and all
Lovely balance of gorgeous calming greens, white sentiment and a bright floral touch. Never easy as you say but unfortunately needed at times
Hugs

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, yes unfortunately we all have to make these sympathy cards, some more then others of late, and this is a perfect one to make for such a reason, it is beautiful, elegant and compassionate, just what is required.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

A beautiful sympathy card.
Good Morning Sue. I always wonder what to do for this sad occasion. But with your help ... once again ... I now know what my next sympathy card will be like. Who would have thought of pixie powder for a background on a sympathy card ... I certainly wouldn't have ... But here again you have taught us something new. Your card is beautiful Sue. Thankyou. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

Hi Sue and everyone, I think this is a very fitting card for a sad and sombre time. The colours you've chosen are perfect, im not even sure if it needed the flowers but beautiful none the less.
I'm fortunate to have only ever made two sympathy cards is all my card making career and hopefully won't have too many more to make.
Hugs to all

Hi Sue, it is a sad fact of life that we will all at some time need to make this type of card. Today's sample is lovely and conveys the message perfectly. I always think green is very calming and the small pop of colour on the daisies hints at brighter days to come.
Frances
I think your card is perfect, very calm and peaceful!

A lovely example of the type of card that is often so difficult to make. The colours and balance of the design is just right xx

Hi Sue,
like you, too, I find sympathy cards a bit difficult to make. Especially as we want to create something beautiful that gives comfort and honours the deceased.
Your card is beautiful...........

I too find these type of cards very difficult to make, but at the same time hold the correct meaning....this is really a great one Sue...luv Ursula xx

Lovely card Sue, unfortunately this type of card is a fact of life. Love the delicate background!
A lovely card for a sad occasion x
I also find sympathy cards difficult to create but having a few made ahead of time can help make them easier to send when there is a need. I like the background and the colors you used. It’s not too much and is different from sympathy cards that are primarily white or cream. This is lovely and I’m sure it will mean a lot to the recipient.

Hi, Sue. Sympathy cards are very difficult for me to make, but you have made a beautiful, well-balanced card for such a difficult time. Thank you for sharing. I love the floral panel dies you have created. I have three of the floral panel sets and am looking forward to getting the Floral Panels Dogwood set. Thank you for your inspiration. Hugs. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately, the need for sympathy cards are a way of life. This card would touch any recipient's heart with the knowledge that you cared enough to make a beautiful design for them.
