Birthday Party

Good Sunday Morning all!  How about a carousel card using the elephant!  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Zigzag Squares embossing folder.  I added red strips of card to the top and bottom of the background.  Next I cut the Carousel out of a piece of card I used some Silver Glitter Kiss on and allowed it to dry.  I stamped the elephant and cut it out with the matching die.  I coloured the elephant using Distress Markers, then added it to the carousel and mounted it in the centre of the card.  I used the Carousel Alphabet and cut out the word "Party" and glued it to the bottom of the card.  I used one of the stamps from the Happy die/stamp combo and cut it out with the tag die.  I added it with foam to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 3/4"   in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue and all that visit today. I found this collection quite different to your past collections and I think they are still growing on me. At the time of launch I had to be really picky and literally choose on behalf of the regular customers I've collected over the years and I love to see projects made with this whole set, I saw your carousel lit up and made for a grandson and to say it took my breath away is an understatement. Yesterday was a real sign of how my life and this poorly world has changed, it was the first birthday I had without a single craft item. For years I've been part of a beautiful farmer's market family and from March onwards due to a weak immune system all that has come to an end and I know an awful lot of us have health issues and crafting keeps us going it's what started our love, either retirement from work or retirement due to health, you came along and sent us crazy on stick pins and bows, to top that you started designing then we all got broke and it's all that was on my gift list - now our festive season has been taken but no-one will ever take our love for Particraft Sue Wilson or your dies. Thanks for keeping me going and making me happy. Love you.

Hello Sue a wonderful card, the elephant is lovely and I like the colours you've used. Very apt theme at the moment, we all seem to be going round in circles too. Xx

Good Morning Sue and all.
A lovely card that I'm sure would please most children (and their parents)
I think my craft room must be more untidy than anyone else's as I'm still making family cards and pretty frantically almost throwing stuff around.
Today is definitely my last day for new cards and you have given me the inspiration I needed.
I will use my fairground dies for the Great Grandchildren.
Have a good day.
Hugs.
Marie P.

Hi SUE
I thinking also that the carousel just doesn't quite make it with a elephant but not to say you're isn't lovely because it is.

Hi Sue, elephants (or heffalumps when I was small lol) are one of my favourite animals so this card appeals to me immediately. Love the carousel alphabet and I would love to be able to come to your party :-)

I am playing catch up on the blog as I had company...one person who I know is safe. I really miss my friends and family. This year has been a total write-off. Sorry.
I love this card. I had to get the carousel horse and I love the circus/amusement feel of it. Very different than anything in my collection. I also love the colors you chose, Sue.
Stay safe & craft on, dear friends here,
Stephanie K
