All Is Calm All Is Bright

Hello there my crafty friends!  I had made this background one day a couple of years ago and really liked it but never used it surprisingly.  I thought it was perfect for an angel card though!  I started with a piece of white Yupo paper as my base.  I added Sailboat Blue and Demin alcohol inks, using the felt applicator by Ranger and pounced all over the card.  I used the Snowflake Flurry mask over the top and used Blending Ink through the mask so it removed the ink where the stencil pattern was.  Once dry, I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and then coated it with clear micro beads.  I used the Double Stitched Square die set and added a square frame over it with mounting foam.  I cut the 2020 Christmas Angel in white as a base, then cut it again and trimmed the dress away and glittered it.  I attached the wings behind her and added pearls as accents.  I attached her to the right side of the frame and cut the All Is Calm sentiment and glued it to the left.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi sue and every blog sister. Thanks for the caring replies yesterday but I'm hoping I helped you smile with my lack of brain cells. I knew there was a reason for not moaning at the furbaby for getting me out of bed so early and this blog is the reason. It's like having a new gift to open every day and the delight we feel as it slowly opens (even my phone likes the slow life) I've never used yupo although I've seen it in my local craft shop before the world took early hibernation and I've never got down and dirty with inks, I get messy enough when my pen leaks so I think I'd get into a right mess! Angels are not my first love - sorry Sue but the dramatic dark but very beautiful inviting background is almost tempting me to try. So I'll send all my love to all you lovely crafting family see you tomorrow god willing, please STAY SAFE AND KEEP CARING xxx 💋

Good Morning Sue and all.
A beautiful card sue. I love that background and of course the 2020 Angel.
I think the white is perfect and I know that I have a few of the die cuts in my stash but time is becoming my enemy as we are only a week from Christmas and I haven't finished all my cards yet.
I hope everyone is looking forward to better days ahead and thank you Sue for your inspiration.
Hugs
Marie P.

Hi Sue. What a lovely background which shows off the angel die beautifully. Actually, I have forgotten all about micro beads which I do have in my stash although I have put them away somewhere very safe (I wonder where?) I must search them out as I love the effect they create.
