Rose Lady

Hello there my crafty friends!  The Rose Lady was the second Perfect Portrait in the collection, but I just love the detail in her!  I started this card by cutting the Rose Lady die into a piece of coconut white card.  Rather than running the die through the emboss sandwich, I chose to hand emboss her using a ball stylus for maximum depth.  It really brings all the detail in the roses out that way.  Next I used Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink on a smoothie and added colour to the roses.  I went over the centres with Worn Lipstick to deepen them.  I used Crushed Olive ink on the leaves.  I backed it with Black Gloss card.  Next I used the Background Rectangles die set to add a thin frame of Black Gloss card and added it atop a wider white frame.  I added the frames with mounting foam to raise them.  The card was completed with white and black gloss mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue from Lancashire. I remember thinking how different these beautiful dies where at the first launch and it wasn't long before so many stunning cards were uploaded our crafting friends round the globe all having their own take on backgrounds and decor etc they were amazing. I've had to stop buying dies (apart from your new penguin, polar bear and the extending frame/borders collection) as I don't think market will be part of my life until we get completely clear of the virus and we get a vaccine, a cold can spiral into pneumonia so until then I'll just have to rely on anything orders I receive, but I've got dies I can work with so that's a plus. I just love to get up and see what inspiration you've given us it's a really lovely start to the day in the UK.
Please please please STAY SAFE it's still really unsafe out there, and so many uncaring people not taking this KILLER seriously. Love to all this Wednesday xxx 💖

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a pretty lady, the way you have hand embossed the flowers to accentuate them before colouring with the smoothie is brilliant, really makes it pop. Thanks for this little tip Sue xx

Hello Sue
What a lovely lady she is. My poinsettia frame came this morning I hadn't realised until I saw Jamie using it that it had an outer and inner die, stupid of me. Of course you wouldn't design a die with only one use. Take care everyone x

Hi Sue,
She is beautiful. I bought her 2 weeks ago but haven't used her yet. Too busy making messy backgrounds after watching your pixie powders with cling film, technique.
Loved catching up with your demo yesterday and you made a slightly miserable woman very happy.
Hugs xxx Pauline

This Perfect Portrait is a very special lady, a Rose Lady, to me. For this was the first sample Perfect Portrait card I made for you. I think she is gorgeous. Loving the look of the glossy black card and the way you added extra depth by hand to the embossing areas. Aren't you thrilled how your Rose Lady speaks to you? I am. I enjoyed your demonstration on C & C from you kitchen. Well done my friend. Hugs
