Sending Warm Wishes

Hi crafters!  I started this quilt card by cutting the Star Quilt in white.  I also cut it in Soft Salmon card and Coral card and kept all the fall away pieces from them, including the white one.  Next I added the white Star Quilt onto a piece of sticky adhesive sheet that was attached to another piece of white card.  I paper pieced the coral pieces into place in the nine centre sections.  I used the soft salmon card around the edges and in between the coral.  Next I added mounting foam to the white ones and the remaining soft salmon pieces.  I added these on top in either an X shape over the existing pieces or in a + shape in between them.  I cut a wide frame using the Double Stitched Squares and added it with foam.  I used the Sending Warm Wishes cut in coral and added it to the top and bottom of the frame.  The card was completed with white, soft salmon and coral mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. From not being quite sure how the Quilt collection would work when I got the pre-launch spoilers to the most fabulous samples being made round the globe. I can't believe just how beautiful one square of metal can look, to be genuinely honest from your samples to the lovely group members on the fb group that inspires us with this collection the beauty of every Quilt sample /card renders me speechless. Another really pretty sample to start the day with thank you xxx

Hello Sue, a really beautiful labour of love, the paper piecing must have taken an age to do, but I know it is very calming and relaxing. Have a good day everyone. Bx

Good Morning Sue. Beautiful colours today Sue and a very lovely card. But I have to say the quilted dies are not for me. So sorry Sue as I know how hard you work to produce these dies. In my opinion....and not to be unkind quilting is for furniture and quilt covers. So please don't think I don't appreciate your work.Although the card is lovely. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds

Hi Sue, a very clever card and I love the soft salmon and coral cardstock. The quilt dies appear to be very versatile and I love the fact that each piece has the stitched detail. Paper piecing can be time consuming but it is also enjoyable and I hope you had fun making this card.
