Penelope

Hi bloggers!  Thanks for all your participation in the blog launch, but we are back to one post per day, sadly!  I am skipping back to an April release card today.  I started with the top die from the Alice set and put two together to make a linear white on white background. I added small pearls to all the intersections as accents.  Next I cut the Penelope die out of Ocean card for the top layer, teal for the middle layer and a white backing layer.  I used the larger outer cutting die to give it a bit of a decorative pierced edge on the backing.  I reversed the colours for the centre dies and used a white top, an ocean card centre layer and a teal backing layer.  I cut the Skylar die in white and nipped it in half and added it to the sides of the Penelope die.  I added it to the background with foam.  I used the Spiral Pearl Flower to add a single floral element with a couple of leaves as accents.  I decided I liked it with a sentiment, but you could use just about anything for this style of card, your choice!  The card was completed with white, ocean and teal mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.

Just a quick reminder that I am back on Create and Craft TV this morning at 10am with more of the
4 Day Deal!   All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, it is lovely when you go back to some of your older releases, it is always nice for them to get another airing and remind us of what we can do with them. Today's example is a prime example of this, love it as you knew I would with the layered effects and using my favourite colours too.

Loved the show yesterday so nice to see you back on our screens. I will have to watch this mornings one when I get home from my craft club today. Loving all the wonderful samples.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue
We may be back to just one post but what a card it is! It’s a stunner! Penelope is radiant in all her triple layered glory and the colours are perfect.
Can I just say (again), what an amazing new launch. I have twitchy fingers as to which dies I will get my hands on first - you don’t make it an easy decision seeing as they are all so desirable . Thanks for sharing with us Sue and giving us all an opportunity to win one of those precious delights x
I had sorted myself out to watch you work your magic at 4 yesterday afternoon with a cuppa and a rather large piece of cheesecake but unfortunately it was not to be - won’t bore you with the details. I will be with you at 10 this morning and nothing will stand in my way! I recorded yesterday’s show so will watch that as soon as I am able x
Happy Wednesday everyone

Morning Sue. What a happy sight to wake up to, the colour choice is so fresh, and the way you design your collections to layer up is so clever, I bet your first European dies would either cut into the card or layer up with a lot of the recent dies too. Just literally out of bed, eyes still glazed over and brain - well heaven knows cuz I don't feel I'm making much sence but hopefully you'll understand what I'm trying to say. Must catch up with your 4pm show as I've been told I missed exciting news. So have a great day and give us all a wave lol xxx

Hi Sue, whilst it's always great to see new products, the old collections still delight and the card today enforces this belief. Loving the makes being produced on the television. It's a great treat to see you rather than just reading your blog on a daily basis. WakeyL

Today's card is lovely and it is good to visit the slightly older dies as we tend to forget and get caught up with all the new ones :-)

Hi Sue. I LOVE this card !!! Alice looks great as a background and I really love the Skylar to but my favourite die set is the Penelope set. I do love all you Tripple die sets but this one is the fantastic Focal point die. The perfect centrepiece. I love that it has the Tripple layers so that we can make our cards in lots of gorgeous colours. Penelope is such a stunning die. I do love Skylar to. It is so unusual but it is perfect to accent cards and to use in its own right. Not forgetting those beautiful Spiral flowers. Gorgeous. A truly stunning card Sue. Thank you. Love from Tres x x x
