Peace

Hi there my crafty friends!  You may have seen this one on last week's shows, but I wanted to share it on the blog too!  I started with the Ruffled Edge Frame and cut the outer most die as the base.  I used the rectangle section from the set to create a frame for my angel.  I cut the edge and backed it in black then cut the centre out.  I added foam to raise it then attached it over the pierced section on the inside.  I used a leftover piece of pixie powdered background behind it (midnight blue, purple violet and aqua lagoon colours).  Next I cut the 2019 Christmas Angel in white and added her wings to her cut out of silver mirror card.  I used the peace banner and glued it into her hands and added her halo.  I attached her with foam to the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white, black and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  I will be posting the winners for the Sept die release from the launch later today so don't forget to check back later this afternoon!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue. Hmmm, not sure about the colour on this sample. The dies are beautiful as ever and last week's shows has made me think I should try and invest in the Ruffle edge die and a maybe another, but I just think this colour is too much for tone on tone and doesn't show the beauty of your Angel which is such a shame. Sorry Sue xxx

Good morning Sue.
I bought the Angel die weeks ago and haven't yet used it so I'm delighted to see her actually on a card. I think I now have 3 different ones saved so next week I will make a point of making a start.
I love the Pixie Powder background too.
Hugs

Hello Sue
I like the ruffle edge die it's so unusual but I am not a lover of angels,so would substitute it for another of your beautiful dies

Good Morning Sue and all
what a beautiful card this morning and the ruffled edge die gives a new depth to the card . I love how you have created the colours with the pixie powders behind the angel and her wings are finished perfectly in silver.

Hi Sue
I love that the angel wings are separate so you can do them in a different colour with ease, they look fabulous in silver.

I'm not sure about this one, I don't really do Angels but I realise that there are those out there that love them and you don't always make cards for yourself!!!. Also not sure of the colour as the photos are a bit green/yellow. However love the frame die and the pixie background so am sitting on the fence about this one.

Hi Sue,
The pixies and frame are beautiful - my angels of choice are 2016, 2017 and 2018, but that is enough for me.
I shall turn on in the afternoon, just to see.................

Hi Sue, I see there are mixed feelings over this card and I admit that when I first looked at it on my tablet the colours were very creamy and not particularly appealing. Looking again now on my laptop it is showing a lovely crisp white which complements the pixie powdered background perfectly so I think that people's impression of the card will depend a lot on which type of device they are viewing it on. Your angel is beautiful and I love her silver wings. The ruffled edge frame is so adaptable I have already used it quite a lot.

Hi Sue, a stunning card. I love all your Christmas Angels and 2019's is my favourite.

CraftyJo said...

Once I can get the colours straight in my head I love it ;) It shows as a 'custard' colour on my PC which is not appealing but now that I know it's white I like it!

Hi again Sue. I have read Fluffycat's comment and read the main colour is white. I'm using my phone and it looks a deeper shade of custard even your Angel which makes it so hard to get the real pazzaz when you share your cards. If this is white on white then it must be absolutely stunning xx

You again. If Sue's card aren't to your liking why keep leaving spiteful comments it's not necessary especially in such a lovely group as this.

Love the way the pixie powders are showing through the silver wings but I perhaps need to see the card on a larger device as the rest of the card isn’t showing too well. Thanks for the inspiration Sue.
Good luck everyone in the draw.

Hi Sue. Thanks for sharing this card, it certainly deserves its day on the blog. Love the ruffles, it must have been difficult to achieve this look using a flat die but it does come across so well.
