Warmest Wishes

Hello crafters!  While this is normally a Wednesday Card Giveaway, I will have to discontinue them (and the Comment Game) until after the New Year as Creative Expressions will be closed for the Christmas and New year holiday (in other words, nobody will be there to post out any cards or prizes! LOL)  However, since I still have quite a few Christmas cards to share, I am using today to do that!  This card is really pretty IRL with the shimmer from the Pixie powders.  I used Midnight Blue, Purple Violet and Aqua Lagoon to create this background.  Once dry, I place the snowflake mask over the top and inked through it with Blue Lagoon Chalk Cloud ink, giving it a pale pattern over the top.  I cut the Icicle border die from the Snowflake Edger set and added iced snow, then glued them to the top and bottom edges of the background.  For the focal element, I cut the Frosty Frame and added thin strips of mounting foam to attach it to the centre of the card.  I cut the tag from the set and glued it in place, then added an oval mat cut from the leftover Pixie powdered background.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the inner oval and added it.  White on white mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Wow, beautiful card Sue, so icy looking. CE staff deserve their Christmas break, they work so hard.
Come On Steph, , do tell what your ore Christmas gift was. Your Andy is brilliant..
Barbara, your whole world has been rocked, no wonder you can't get your head round it. Take it easy, try to get through Christmas and then plan ahead for a new year. Do you have family and friends to help you.
Lynne, bless your little granddaughter, I hope she feels better soon and that Santa is extra good to her this year.
Donita your penguins sound great but I'm not a fan of Olives so I would prefer the seafood ring.
Muriel, what a fun day crafting with your granddaughter, I only have one granddaughter and she prefers horses to crafting., like mother like daughter as that is what Lesley is like.
Ann so glad your classes appreciate your efforts. June is lucky like that too.
June H if it helps with virtual support you have that in abundance. Sending a hug for you and your brother.
Thank you all for your ongoing support re BP and the cake. It is always a worry when you cook for someone else, especially as we are a fairly new team, just a few months together, but they are a great set of people.
Daily basket of hugs is replenished, don't be shy help yourselves. Thinking of all missing and poorly friends and their carers too.

Good morning Sue. Gorgeous card, I'm going to have to take the plunge and get me some pixie powders! The colours you've used are perfect for a night sky and snowflakes. CE staff deserve some time off and thanks to your hard work and generosity we get to see a different card every day.
Pan, glad that your new team are good people. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Morning Sue. Adorable sample. Believe it or not the majority of us are here for you your inspiration and out of love for you and your work, everything else is a bonus, so giveaways etc are a wonderful happy addition but that's not the reason we pop in everyday so worry not ☺ everyone needs a break even YOU lol.
I can just imagin how totally amazing this sample is in real life, it's the star of the fireplace along with all your other festive delights from the past and what is yet to be showcased.
Okay coming clean - my 'pre Christmas gift opening practice day' was my way of saying it was my birthday ! A week before Christmas so I was practicing my opening technique before 'the big day' just being silly I suppose (so see, I'm not that vindictive blogger some like to think I am, lol just a crazy blogger that enjoys a bit of stupidity as my wrinkles and brown spots way me down more each year, at this age it's just the same date another year on so apart from my surprises, it's same old same old 😉
That's me all commented out for today so catch this box of love and hugs but he careful Sue it's heavy xxx 🌸

Dear Sue and Festive Friends,

Wow, today's blue with yesterday's white! I had to look up what IRL meant. In Real Life. Boy do I feel like a fuddy duddy. Anyway, yes, I can just imagine how vibrant those colors are in real life.

Stephanie Cotterill, you are too funny! Putting your birthday in code! Soooo, did the Birthday Bunny deliver some of what you wanted? Or will it have to be Craft Santa?

Plus, I'd like to sing a few verses of Stephanie's song about how we come here to be amazed and educated by your talent and creativity, and we'd visit regularly without prizes. We do like prizes, but we'd still be here.

Well the penguins at least have comedic value. Lopsided, misshapen, extra-well-endowed in the beak department. It's the plight of the penguin that even though they're always in formal attire, they're hard to take seriously.

So glad Hochanda and Creative Expression folks have the holiday week off. If we weren't so greedy, Sue, we'd let you have a week off, but how can we go a week without our Particraft fix?

Signing off early tonight because I can't slug abed Wednesday.

More hugs offered here.

Love,
Donita

Oh wow. Pixie powders are (as you should know by now), one of my favourite things x
Raindrops on roses and pixies in powders - you must remember that well known song from The sound of music!!
Love this card - super stunning. Your cards always bring a smile to my face and this is no exception x
Your over generous giveaways are not my motivation for loving this blog. You are the reason Sue. Your continued hard work and inspiration are what makes this blog so amazing. Thank you so much for you continuing generosity in allowing us to share your amazing talent x
Massive apologies for my absence. I have been trying to get organized for upcoming festivities - without much luck. Jake went off to Amsterdam on Monday morning. As usual his trip was the only thing that mattered so we all had to be at his beckoned call to ensure his departure went smoothly. In the meantime the trail of mess and disorganisation he has left behind has to be sorted which means everything on my to do list has gone on hold. I expected this kind of disruption when my boys were toddlers but he is 25 for goodness sake!! Lol x
In the midst of trying to sort Jake out it was George's 20th birthday. No longer a teenager - makes me feel old! We are hoping to go and see Star Wars this evening if he gets back from work in time with a meal out thrown in for good measure. Bit of mum and baby boy time x
Expecting my mum and dad tomorrow. They are driving to Mansfield today and will stay overnight at dads sisters before driving the rest of the way to us tomorrow. Last years plans of them coming for Christmas were scuppered as mum ended up in hospital. Things are looking much more hopeful this year x
All in all I am not at all ready or organised. House is a tip. My craft room needs to be drastically overhauled to resemble a dining room. Still have presents to get. Still got presents to wrap. Apart from that - all is calm!! Lol x
Barbara - hang in there. I am a great believer in karma. Sending you a hug x
Pam - good news re bp. Cake sounds fab - so lovely when your hard work is appreciated x
June H - sending you a hug x
Must dash - things to do - no rest for the wicked x
Sending happy thoughts and lots of love to everyone x
Take care

Good afternoon Sue and all the Wilsonetts.
A beautiful card again today Sue and I'm beginning to think I should get some Pixie Powders but I think I have mentioned before that I have a drawer full of glitters of all kinds which I got when I first started on cards which is either 2 or 3 years ago. The BIG problem is that not even 1 of the containers says what they are. I've decided that after I've got past the dreaded robot police today I'm going to randomly pick out a name from the regular commenters and see if I can find her in order to ask a question regarding these and other glitters.
Hope you have a fantastic break Sue, you certainly (and your staff) have earned it.
Hugs to all. Marie P.
