Merry Christmas

Hi bloggers!  One of my favourite combos today, white on white.  I started by cutting a small piece of coconut white card and embossing it with the Snowflake Mosaic embossing folder for texture.  I used the Double Pierced Noble square die set to make a thin frame for it and attached it with mounting foam.  On the inside of the frame, I cut and assembled four corners cut from the Snowflake Flourish and Corner die set.  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flags die set and attached the edge under the side of the snowflake frame.  I cut a single snowflake and added it on the side of the sentiment.  Next I cut two of the Frosty Frames and cut the long sides off of them and attached them around the edge of the raised frame.  I added the entire piece to a larger piece of coconut white card and finished the edge with another thin frame from the same set.  Simple white on white mats completed the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Your cards are truly inspirational, I love my daily treat opening the blog each day and done times you give us the doublers shiva gives twice the pleasure. Like any have said, you lift our card making to new heights, make us think outside if the box and try new experiences such as the pixies etc. Tank you for all that you do for us.
Lynne, you sound as if your and your granddaughter have had a fab time, precious memories to carry through the years.
Yvonne, hope you got to see your film with your son, and that your parents arrive safely. Forget the house, nobody notices anyway. Have a lovely time with them all.
Happy belated birthday Steph, you are a sly one lol. Hooe you got your longed for dies, I think Andy will have come up trumps.
Donita, would have loved to see the Penguins, they sound too cute to eat, certainly would make a talking point. Enjoy your party.
Granny Sue enjoy your Christmas NewYear break.
Elaine, hope is well with you and family, short post yesterday. I'm hoping you were just busy.
Daily hugs to all. Thinking of all our poorly and missing friends.

What an absolute stunner. White on white, milk on milk, always add that extra luxurious look to any card, but today's sample is just stunning. The folder behind the borders, the borders themselves - so neat and precise, the dies between the borders all work so beautifully, a lot of pattern and texture on this sample but all made to work together and boy do they. I'm just loving everything about today's stunning inspiration and thank you for sharing.
Sending love and hugs your way and hope whatever your day brings it has a big helping of fun and happiness xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a stunning sample today, white on white, lovely - I don't think you can ever go wrong with that combination. Sue you have certainly be given such wonderful comments over the past few days leading up to Christmas, you deserve every single one of them and more, special hugs.

Pam I reiterate all you have said. Just got back from early morning shopping, ours is all done now. Just got to take my son shopping later, he is having a new fridge/freezer delivered this morning, so need to wait however long it takes before you can put any food in it, hopefully it will be today as hubby wants to get it all done and dusted now.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Dear Sue and The League of Loyal Wilsonettes,

Just admit it, you ran out of color card and all you have to work with is white!
We all know that can't be true.
Although sometimes, a severe limit can be inspiring.
I like this one, too. Frosty Frame is a friend of mine, and he really shines in this sample.
The penguins apparently got talked about, but they didn't all get eaten, so I took a picture of one and posted it as a reply to a comment on Facebook. Some people, I heard, were afraid that was a marshmallow under those black olives. I missed the party because I hit my snooze button too many times. The penguins weren't at all difficult or painstaking to make. I had a lot of broken wings because the fresh mozzarella balls were too fat for the split olive that had to go over it. Next time I'll trim the cheese to make smaller bellies. Or use cocktail onions. Also next time I'll trim the carrot noses to look a little more beaky. The more I made, the better they got.
It reminded me of the time I asked an artist how to color an orange to make it look spherical and realistic. I had stamped up a bunch of PSX wreaths and wanted to color them nicely for Christmas cards. He wasn't very helpful. He said, "You just make it look like an orange." The more little carrot beaks I cut, trying to make them beaky, the more they started to look like beaks.
That's why I like rubber stamping and papercrafting. You buy things from the real artists, and their designs give you plenty of chances to make something that looks pretty good.
And Sue, as so many others have said, you brought me to a different plane entirely.
My cards went from looking like a third grader made them to looking like an artist made them.. That's because an artist did make them. And that artist is you. You just let us do some of the cutting!
Well, that's not entirely true. Some of the cards I see on Facebook were made by people using your dies, and they've had their own creative ideas and executed them with their own artistry.

Enjoy the festivities, all you with generous hearts.
Love,
Donita

Morning Sue
Oh how gorgeously, frosty and perfect. Just love your Christmas cards. Love ALL your cards but there is something about your Christmas cards that makes me feel all gooey from the inside out x
Not long to wait for Father Christmas now folks. I am still in the process of trying to convince him that I should be on the nice list but I don't think he believes me!
Got the few bits I needed last night before going to the Cinema. The rest of Christmas is being delivered by Tesco on Saturday.
Enjoyed last night. Have to say, I am a bit of a sucker for the original 3 films (which are actually numbers 4 5 and 6). So this was number 9. Bit corny and now they have got to the ninth film the story lines are a little stretched. Sorry if I have offended any super fans! Lovely evening with George and that's what counts x
Diane G - the force can't help me now. It has gone beyond that x
Fluffy - I am passed caring to be honest - told everyone not to touch or write in the dust, that way it is less noticeable! x
Yorkie Girl - there is never any semblance in this house x
Crafty Sue - I hear you - but if there is nowhere to sit down and the bed is hidden under all the stuff that has been dumped on it the people will not be comfortable! Lol x
Myra - Laine and I have not spoken for a while but we have been texting. She is busy trying to get organised like the rest of us. She was having her hair done yesterday and its her nails today. Thing is, being gorgeous doesn't come naturally to everyone like it is does to me!!! Obviously much more effort is required on Laines part. She will be back - just like the Terminator! Lol x
Suppose I better get a wiggle on and swing into action - well more like a shuffle than a swing!
Have a good day everyone. Sending happy thoughts and lots of love to everyone x
Take care
Crafty hugs

However I just wanted to say thank you .Sue for all your hard work throughout the year. Can't imagine why your blog isn't No.1 but you are certainly the Topps as far as us Wilsonettes go. I look forward to reading it each day & seeing what lovely creation you havé given us. This year I feel you have tested us giving us lots of shabby chic to experiment with, not to mention those pixie powder backgrounds which are lovely when you do them but not when I do them! Lol! Anyway Sue hope you get the opportunity to relax over the festive season. Wishing you & your family a very Happy Christmas & healthy New Year & the same to all the Wilsonettes. Take care everyone travelling at this time.

Good Morning all. I had to check out Wednesdays blog also. Can't believe I was so busy yesterday I missed that lovely card. Pixie Powders...yummy.
Today's card is beautiful, not as colorful as yesterday but another work of art. What wonderful dies that can create so much beauty and then again some like "Cheeky Monkey" much playfulness.
Stephanie C. I loved your pre-Christmas warm up. Birthdays close to Christmas often get over looked but I know that isn't so in your case. Hope all those dies didn't take you too long to get opened.
Donita, your appetizers reminded me of a song we learned in Kindergarten. Penguins are really adorable birds.
Merry Christmas to everyone here on the blog and to all the wonderful folks at Creative Expression.

A really stunningly lovely card today. I don’t have the snowflake corners but I have the Poinsettia corners and the detail is amazing! They just give a different look!
Donita - I meant to mention the penguins yesterday but forgot! I know I know - how could I !! I think they have been unforgettable!! They have been individual little characters with attitude! Well done you for making them!
Yvonne - thanks for the update on Laine! I’m glad she is well enough to keep up her high standards . I know I always feel better if I look ok. Ok is as good as it gets !!!
Izzy - your “Wot no Glitter! “ made me laugh!
Well! I shall go and see if this will post!

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes.
I love this card Sue as I love them all. I have never tried white on white as I'm afraid that with my particular visual condition I would not be able to see where one piece ended and another began. I must say that the new lighting I have recently got in my craft room helps a lot and just maybe I may try this in the new year.I have got a 5 foot double tube led light and it's wonderful
Everyone sounds so busy and I'm sure I can hear the sighs of relief from those who have finished their cards in time to mail them.
