Double Swiss Background Sunday

Good Sunday morning all!  The Swiss Background is being showcased for today's double day!  For the first card, I cut the background in papyrus card and backed it in black, then cut thee centre of it out.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame I created.  I cut the Stitched Lattice frame die in both white and black and offset the black as a shadow.  I mounted the frame over it.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky self adhesive sheet, coated it in Diamond Sprinkles and then added the entire piece to a white glittered backing card.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the oval from the Swiss tag.  I cut the decorative part of the tag in both white and black and offset them for another shadow.  I mounted the tags in the centre of the frame with the sentiment added to them.  The card was completed with white, papyrus and black mats and small flatback pearls around the frame.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two is a stair step card using the same background die.  Generally I tend to recess rather than mount upwards, but every once in awhile, the mood just strikes to do it differently!  I cut the Swiss Background in white and backed it with a piece of dusty rose card (from my stash).  I cut the next size in white, backed in dusty rose and added it with mounting foam to the centre.  Finally I cut the smallest die in the set in white and backed it in rose and added it with mounting foam.  I stamped my sentiment, covered it with a small piece of self adhesive sheet.  I cut the Swiss tag in white and backed  it in white then cut the centre.  I added mounting foam and added it over my sentiment after removing the backing paper. I sprinkles Diamond Snow into the opening to glitter the sentiment and added the tag horizontally across the background.  I used the Exquisite Poppy set to make three flowers and added them in the corner with Heart Sprays as accents.  White and rose mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6" x  7 3/4" in size.

The winners of this week's Comment Game are:

Iris Harbourne!!!
VC!!!
Dorothy Macdonald!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful cards Sue. Both lovely.
Congratulations to comment game winners.
Tina, I am so saddened to hear that you have lost Mick, you have both fought so hard to get him better. You were there for him every step of the way and he knew that, he is at peace now. I pray you and the family can take some consolation from that. Thinking of you all.
Elaine, I'm so happy that Andrew has passed the half way mark, he did right to treat himself and Helen, the news was a treat for you too.
Tina, good news about Peter, glad the staff were there for you both.
I was happy to do the collection for Barbara, she is closest to myself and Gary on the team, which was why I wanted him to do the sentiment inside the card, made it more personal. The card is just normal size for the team as there is also an office collection with a big card.
Tracey I always thought I would retire at 60 but now 68 and still like working, at least I like the Work and colleagues but the management, well say no more.
To all poorly, sad colleagues, I send lots of hugs and still plenty for the whole blog.

Sunday Smiles to you Sue. A delightful double Swiss day that's for sure and if that's what happens with a change of craft mood, then be my guest, exquisite Sue that's all I have to say, exquisite. The first looks powerful, could be sent to a male friend, the second, I've made my thoughts known about your second card, you don't just take the bull by the horns when you feel like a change up, you take the full herd and go for it and I'm glad you showed us this change of style mood, I'm sure we'll see a few more 'uppers' than 'downers' on the beautiful follower based Facebook group since showing this today especially from a certain talented Beverly !
Many congrats to the 3 winning ladies today enjoy your gift.
Tina - I've read all your up's and down's over the past few months and although I've never left a comment my thoughts have been with you, but no more than they are today after reading Pam's message to you, none of the usual comments that people say at this difficult add time, just "my thoughts are with you at the worst time in your life"

My usual hugs are heading your way Sue, and hope that you have a good day, maybe another change of style mood may hit you lol xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, 2 stunning cards today, both amazing so I am not going to choose between them.

Congrats to all the winners.

Tina, words cannot express how so very sorry I am to learn that you have lost your wonderful Mick, he fought so hard but alas he lost his battle with this awful disease, he is at peace and no longer suffering. You and your family will have a difficult time ahead but always know that he is still with you in your hearts. 🙁

Thinking of everyone who is suffering x

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx
