Double Fan Card

Hi bloggers!  Today's video card uses the Ornamental Accents die set to create a stunning double fan card.  There are so many ways you can use these dies, but in their simplest form, they make a lovely fan.  Why not start there and then branch out into all sorts of other ways to use them.  Your creativity will begin to just spill over once you have a play with them!

The winner of the Wednesday Card Giveaway is:

Iris Harbourne!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card!

I hope you can tune in for my shows today on Hochanda.   They start at 9am and then again at 12 noon, 4pm and 7pm for the final show of the day!

We also still have two unclaimed dies from the drawing, please check the list (scroll down several posts to find it) and see if your name is among the winners!

The finished dimensions are 7 31/2" x
9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous card, love it, so delicate looking.
Congratulations to Iris, enjoy.
I'm away on holiday from tonight so may not get a chance to comment daily for a week, if I can it won't be first thing, as I usually do but I will try to keep up with the blog. It is my first holiday since Tim died so I have mixed feelings.
Elaine, it is good that things are moving on for Andrew, I will be thinking of him next week, and you too, you have had to watch your son through all of this, not easy as a mum.
Tina T, same for you and Peter, hope the treatment brings the desired result. Happy 37th anniversary for next week, enjoy your meal.
Tina and Mick, I hope the doc can persuade Mick to do what is best for him, what does the peg do?
Tracey, big hugs for you, take care of yourself.
June take care of that knee, after the op you can train for the marathon.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Beautiful, gentle and feminine card Sue. Thank you. Will be watching your shows on my iPad as I have lost Hochanda on Freeview until October. Such a shame there is this void, and I can't record shows until you are on virgin. Will enjoy what I can. Xx

Morning Sue. I adore the these two colours together, milk and blush are perfect partners, so glad I bought a full pack of blush before they retired it, I'm just very picky and frugal now how and when I use it as I don't want to be without it !
I think I've seen a card from the extremely talented Beverly the most stunning card on the fan Facebook page using this fan idea, it's been a while back and I know she's addicted to your YouTube tutorials so then she goes and makes a similar card based on your inspiration, that lass is full of talent. Im not quite sure if I own this die but it's a lovely idea for some I do have, something to have a go with when I can. Had to abandon a card yesterday which left me a little cross and down, after almost 2 hours of trying to work through the discomfort I had to give in to it - something that I loath doing, but when it starts to get iffy and dangerous its time to re-evaluate the importance of a card to add to my market collection, those plates to the machine I use are so bloomin heavy that when they've slipped from what grip I did have and landed close to my toes on 2 occasions it's time to listen and give up !! Round 2 will resume later and I WILL finish this chuffin card ready to add for tomorrow !
Dearest Pam - we stood beside you from the very first post you told us about Tim and the most awful shock you'd ever had as it all happened so quick. It's time for you now chick, Tim will be with you as he has been for the past couple of year's he'll be watching over you and you'll know it, you will know when Tim is beside you, love never dies, it's just put on hold until you meet up again so try and have a good time as hard as it may be for you and if you can't get the door open to the blog we look forward to you posting again.
A very big well done to Iris on joining the card club, it's the best gift you could ever wish for.
Have you all set to record Sue in case we don't get back from doggy school in time for the start of the 4pm show, but I shall be glued to the shows before hand and can't wait, so have a brilliant enjoyable day but take this hug with you (along with your stamping mat) don't forget them now lol xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh such a pretty card today, and loved the video.

Pam have a wonderful holiday, yes it will be strange without your wonderful Tim but he would have wanted you to enjoy it, he is still with you in sprit. Where are you going on your holiday.

Elaine and Andrew - thinking of you both, keep up the good work

Tina T and Peter - like Pam I also hope the treatment brings the desired results.

Tina and Mick - Fingers crossed that the Dr. can convince Mick to have the peg, I also would like to know what the peg does.

Tracy special hugs.

Pam I am hoping that they go ahead with the op, I go on Tuesday for the pre-op assessment but I still have a wound which is healing but not completely yet, from when I attended the Twin Research a couple of weeks ago, I know that they will not do the surgery if you have any cuts because of infection, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes well on Tuesday - as for the marathon that might just be in my dreams.

Just watched your Hochanda show again, it was brilliant, am looking forward to todays ones.

Congratulations to Iris.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Dont have these dies but they are going on my shopping list, even if i just made this card it would be worth the price of the dies . Beautiful card, Sue, and great use of the dies to make the fan shape. All so pretty, especially the lovely sugared poppy, and a cute tag too. Thanks as ever for the video.
June, thank you for the viewing tip - only have PC.... broadband not brilliant here, too much juddering, so had to give up. Tried on catch up and no better. Ah well.
Pam - yes, must be mixed feelings but do hope you enjoy your holiday and come back to top spot again - getting to rely on you to pick up on all the Wilsonette news!
Laine - you'd think disabled travellers would have priority - but at least you're home safe and sound - pleased the furry ones didn't disown you - and how gracious your words for PP!! Glad you two had a good time!
Well done to Iris on the card win.
Happy, safe weekend everyone.

Hello Sue
Your card for today is so pretty and I love the colour combination of Milk and Blush card.
I, too, was not able to record your show last night Even though it was shown on Programme Guide the recording came up as "failed".
I did manage to see some of your show on my computer and I will try and watch a couple of shows that way today. Why don't Hochanda explain what is going on, it is so annoying.
Still mild and sunny for this morning but it is clouding over later. There is a lot to do outside in the garden whilst it is still mild and dry but now I must switch on that computer to watch you, Sue!

Afternoon Sue
I absolutely love this beautiful card. I fell in love with it when you had it on the blog when the ornamental accents were part of the new launch x
Having seen this card 'in the flesh' so to speak as you had it on display at Ally Pally, it is better than exquisite. The soft colour palate and the way you have arranged the dies is absolutely stunning x
Apologies to my lack of comment yesterday and Thursday. After all the celebrating following Laine's departure on Thursday I was really tired and my bed was beckoning earlier than normal. Yesterday did not go according to plan for various different reasons, which even caused me to miss the first half of Sue's 8 o clock, I was again shattered so in bed earlyish x
Anyway enough of my excuses I"m here now!
So Lorraine left us on Thursday and thankfully no delays this end but a long wait at the other end for the pre booked assistance. Not good, resulting in an exhausted Lorraine arriving home later than she had hoped but thankfully in one piece x
We had a lovely time during her stay with activity levels pretty low except for our adventure at Ally Pally on Sunday. There was much laughter and even more teasing and all in all a good time was had by all! Despite her diva like tendencies and unreasonable demands I remained patient and managed to avoid sending her to the cubby hole under the stairs. I have a year to recover before having to contemplate another visit. Lol x
I am pleassed to say that George has a new job and starts on Monday. So pleased. Be nice to get him out from under my feet! He has been making the most of his unemployed status by staying out til early hours then remaining comatose until the afternoon so I am not sure if I am more pleased that he has a new status - employed!
Really enjoying the one day special shows. Did manage to watch last nights show this morning seeing as I missed half of it. Bright sunshine this morning but Sue had no problem making me feel suitably festive! Beautiful Christmas Cards. I have added the dies to my want/wish list as money is very tight at the moment. Things should pick up once George starts work and paying for the honour of eating me out of house and home!
I promise to catch up on all your news tomorrow. I am popping to a friends this evening. She only lives about 10 doors away and I have been invited for dinner. Don't often get dinner cooked for me so I do not have to be asked twice. I thought it might be polite to actually put clothes on rather than wearing my scruffy night shirt so need to try and have a bath and get sorted before Sue's final show as dinner will be ready about 8.30 - perfect timing. Strictly will have to wait. I will record it for viewing over the next couple of days x
OK people, that's me for now. Sending everyone lots of love especially my Besties. Laine I'll speak to you soon - hope you aren't missing me too much x
Take care

Hi Sue, stunning card this morning, love the pastel colors together. I've tried to watch Hocanda many times to see you, John & Julia but when I try to watch previous shows all I get is stutter. Can you mention this to Hochanda for me.

Hello Sue,
Very late but had to say - lovely card! Actually lovely doesn't do it justice! It's gorgeous!
I loved yesterday's too! Sorry not able to get in daily at the moment!
Pam - have a super holiday! I remember the day you lost Tim - it was such a shock for you . He would be happy to know you are going on holiday . I was going to volunteer to be first in the morning but Lorraine is a much better idea !!! X
Lorraine - glad you are safely home and that you had a great time - sorry about the delay though at Edinburgh!
As for Elvis - he has left more than the building! Enjoy though!
Thanks Sue, I'm missing your Shows but will try Catch up!
Love Myra xx

Good morning Sue,

I am glad to be back on here after having hand surgery. I have missed most of your cards, but will retrieve them through other posts.

Your card is beautiful. The colour combo is great.

Now that I am actively making cards once again, looking forward to many more beautiful cards from you.

Best wishes
