Thanks So Much

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's card is one of my personal favourites shown during the latest blog launch.  It just really sings to me!  I just couldn't wait any longer to share it with you.  I do hope you will like it as much as I do.  I started with the outer thin frame which I cut using the largest two dies from the Ornate Pierced Rectangles.  I added some mounting foam to the back, then cut two of the Lattice and Lace Striplets out of coconut white card.  I used the outer cutting edge on both of them and them attached them horizontally to my frame.  I used the Ornate Pierced Rectangle to cut a backdrop out of white card that was covered with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Iced Snow.  I glued the frame in place over the top of it.  Next I used the Classic Adorned Design Noble and cut the centre section out of white card.  I used the inner and outer cutting edges to create a frame.  I stamped my sentiment on a piece of vellum them centre the same outer cutting edge over it to cut it even.  I glued it to the back of the die and used a Spun Sugar distress marker to colour the back of it where the frame was, stopping before the opening where the sentiment was situated.  I mounted this piece in the centre of the cad with foam.  Next I cut the Perfect Peonies Complete Petal and made a pretty flower.  I edged it with Spun Sugar for a soft highlight then coated it with glue and sprinkled it with Iced Snow and set it aside to dry.  I made a second smaller flower to match.  Once dry, I seated both flowers on my card and cut several of the Dandelion Clocks to use as embellishments. I tied a messy bow with thin white satin ribbon and tucked it under my flower.  Finally I completed the cad with my usual paper piercing (with my piercing ruler), a thin blush mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are
6 1/2" x  8" in size.  Hope you like it!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue & Wilsonettes. Wow!!! Yet again Sue I am absolutely bowled over by this extremely gorgeous card. I can well understand why it is your favourite, so chic and as you say it sings out to you, and so sweetly too...lol... This is the kind of Sue card that I absolutely adored when I first saw you on create and craft...the sort of card style that inspired me to alter my card making path (which I wasn't happy with)& go for Die cutting...so glad I did because since then it had recently led me to your super Blog & to your gorgeous gem of a card to greet me/us every morning, not forgetting about getting to know your wonderful family of Wilsonettes.

Thank you so, so much for sharing this delight with us today Sue.

Alison...sending you hugs & sincerely hoping that now you have attended your Aunts funeral you can now also find some peace inside of you to help you come to terms with your loss...I would also like to send you Birthday greetings Alison,I know it won't be easy for you but nonetheless I am sending you hugs and warmest wishes for a lovely day x x x

Hugs to Sue and all Wilsonettes Love Beth B x x x

Hi There Sue and all Wilsonettes. Where on earth has the past week gone ? Im sure there are less hour's to our day now !!!
What a wonderful card to end the week Sue, I remember this so well and its no wonder it sings to you, its so pretty and delicate. I for one would not be able to take my eye's off it if I had a work of art like this through my post box, everything about it makes you smile. The sentiment comes back to you Sue.
Hope you manage to get plenty of VitE this weekend Sue (inbetween making your 'Festive' samples !! ) Festive samples in May ! Talk about having to plan months ahead lol I find I have no mojo for 'those' cards when the time comes let alone this time of year, that's because you are Sue Wilson and I'm
me lol.

Heather T. Hope you are able to enjoy crafting again.
To all our Wilsonettes that are not feeling well hope you are heading towards better days soon.

Sending love to you Sue and all that enter this beautiful world of inspiration.

Hi Sue,
Truly beautiful. I think the dandelion clocks will be my next purchase. The sentiment is so apt for me today - I would like to send it to all of the lovely people who have sent messages to me & my family over the last weeks and especially this week. A special mention to Elizabeth, Sue and Pam for today's messages. Well it's the big 60 today! I am determined to have a lovely day and tonight Dave is taking me out for a special meal and on Sunday we are going out for lunch with my sister and partner and my cousin and her husband so we will celebrate my birthday but also remember my aunt as well. Heather, I hope you are soon able to get back to your crafting- sending special hugs to you.

Hi sue, I've been waiting for you to use these die's.
I know it's more work, but because you have lots of your own die's now, you may want to think about putting a list of all your die's and put the cards you've Made with them dies into the list you've have made, you know down the side of your blog, for me I have quite a few of your dies so I find myself looking back for ages to see if I can find any cards that you've made with that die set.
Sue I no you do a lot as it is,
My birthday is coming up in June and my children asked what I wanted, I wish I could have gone to your blog and say to them here is all sue's new dies get any of them for me,

(you no I don't do computers only look at your blog I no I'm only 42 but with my illness I had seven years of memory lost so I don't do computers)

maybe it's hard to do, putting list down the side of your blog I don't no, anyway I thought I would ask,

Like so many others I fell in love with this card as soon as I saw it. It's so delicate. It could be used for so many occasions if the sentiment is changed. It would be lovely as a New Baby Girl, Wedding, Christening and so many others.
It reminds me of expensive ice cream that I can only occasionally afford.

reminded me of expensive chocolates! I obviously have a one track mind.
Hope everyone has a fantastic bank holiday weekend.

WOW! Such a lucious beauty of a card today! This card sings out to me "make me, make me". Sue, you always seem to give your designs depth and excitement, as well as beauty. Something I am striving to do. I currently only have a couple of the dies you have used on this card. I am not yet finding the newer dies in the US. But I think I will not wait to try today's design. I will just use the dies I currently have until I can purchase your other dies needed for this design. Wishing you a wonderful day.

Hi Julie

On Joanna Sheens and JGD crafts websites they both have galleries of Sues cards and I think they list what dies has been used on what cards. they're all on one page. it might help you to spot the cards and dies you like a bit easier than scrolling through the blog. Hope that helps you make your birthday wish list a bit easier to create. Hugs x

Hi Sue

I think the only word I can find for this card is 'immaculate'. Stunningly beautiful, ornate... not sure if those words sum it all up. This is just amazing.

Happy birthday Alison, very many happy returns. I hope today is very special for you. Sending hugs from me and wags and woofs from Billy.

Still got a sore head so trying to keep online time to a minimum. Still looking daft with my sunnies on indoors!

Hugs to everyone, wishing you all a lovely bank holiday weekend.
