Wishing You All The Best

Good Sunday morning all! Think a very pale sage green and white for this one as the photographs are not picking up the true colour.  It is a gorgeous green, very soft and pastel,  but from my stash I'm afraid.  I started by simply debossing the outer ring from the Classic Adorned Square Noble die set into my pale sage green card.  I used the outer ring also, but only with the embossing mat so no actual cutting was done.  I cut around it leaving a wide border and added flatback pearls to the corners.  Next I cut four of the Caribbean corners in white card using the outer cut ring as well.  I glued them into place on the inside of the debossed square.  Next I cut the inner design from the Classic Adorned Square out of the pale green card.  I backed it in white this time and mounted it in the centre in a diamond orientation.   I stamped my sentiment on white card and inked lightly around it with Bundled Sage distress ink.  I used the centre die from the Italian Decorative frames set and cut a frame for my sentiment.  I backed it in green and added mounting foam to the back of the frame.  I seated it over my sentiment and cut away the excess card.  I added my sentiment in the centre of the card to complete the focal element.  I finished off the card with my usual matting and layering.  I decided not to doll it up with flowers so you can see how it might be used for either male or female recipients, but you certainly could add some floral embellishments if you prefer to easily change it.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.

The winner of this week's Comment Game are:

Yvonne H!!!
Cameeli of Richmond!!!
Melody!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your postal address and claim your prize!  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue & Wilsonettes...

What a gorgeous card today Sue...it certainly isn't bright outdoors but your beautiful design is enough to cheer the weariest of souls within.

Although I can just about see the soft pastel colour of Bundled Sage, it still looks fabulous & I can see this sneaking onto my S W would like to get list, I'm gradually getting together a stash of your inks so I know that this Sage ink will be of same high quality gorgeous colour to boot.

Love the debossing Sue, it adds such a lifting effect to the card & I simply love the Caribbean corners...they arrived last week & the photo does not do them full justice as they look real pretty in real time.

This card is first class for a male recipient but I can also see it transformed for female with Small flowers & leaves in 2 opposite corners, with a small scruffy bow & saving the best till last...dah daaaaaaaaaaaaah...a stick pin...ooooh love them...lol

Thank you so much for sharing Sue as always it is deeply appreciated.

Oh & not forgetting the lucky comment winners...you will so love your prize from our wonderful generous Sue W...congratulations x x x

Yesterday I finally finished putting my craft room together & it has taken a long time...previously we had good quality heavy wood units (one stacked on top of another) with nowhere to work and storage was cumbersome & monotonous (gosh I spelt that first time round...lol)& just trying to get one item out to work with was so time consuming...so naturally my enthusiasm for crafting waned somewhat.

Eventually after much thought I bit the bullet & asked my hubby to cut down these units to make worktops with under desk storage & shelving above, surprisingly he was happy to do so...no bickering or objections...bless him.

Then came the consuming task of sorting out the attic & using the nearly new craft boxes, folders etc to do boot sales...this money then helped me to collect the items I needed to store my crafty items in a more easily accessible way & making everything more visual...even have my cutting dies on drop files in a file drawer unit, each one with magnetic sheets & card from packaging that came with taped on back to support & strengthen, & punch pockets to protect dies.

It has taken nearly 18 months in the making of & although it is nowhere near as gorgeous as your craft room Sue...(your craft room is on my wish list for sure...lol...)I'm well pleased that mine is now more functional for me now than it ever was.

Well folks I really must say cheerio for now...sending Sue, her family & all Wilsonettes hugs & smiles to keep you through the day...Take care Love Beth B x x x

Its such a beautiful card Sue and your photography sure does bring out the beauty of green colour, which in turn show's up the wonderful dies and their intracacy (sp) ? All in all its a fine and dandy card for a dull wet grey Sunday.
Hope you had a great time at the show yesterday Alison, did you manage to meet the handsome Phill ?
That's it for today apart from sending you hugs Sue and hoping memories a plenty are being made with mom.

Morning Sue from the most horrible start to the day. Yes we're back to WINTER again.
I must have closed my eyes and missed the Summer and Autumn!!!

Today's gift is just gorgeous Sue and definitely fits me list of 'less is more' and just perfect for any of those problematical customers -you know the ones, those that like not too plain but not too fancy either, but they like a little something different- I'm sure we've all got some of those around.
I still love your Noble collection as they always do exactly what you want them to not that any of your other dies do so. This always makes it more than a pleasure to work with anything you have produced. Thank you Sue I've said before and I'm saying it again and again 'You are one Wonderful Lady who every day save our crafting lives'.

Congratulations to today's lucky winners especially Cameeli - I just know you'll love your parcel from Sue.

To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Good Morning on a very wet Sunday,

Oh Sue, this is one very gorgeous, elegant card. I love using muted shades and this green is spot on. Very, very feminine too.

It's too wet for the garden today so craft room here I come! Maybe it will get tidy or maybe not, who knows? whatever I do it will be relaxing, satisfying and fun.

Congratulations Cameeli, Yvonne and Melody for your comments draw. Enjoy your prizes, you will have lots fun with them.

Beth, I'm glad you bit the bullet to create your craft room to make it easier for you. With the help of my Grandson no.1 Jamie, we did exactly the same in my study which had slowly become a storage room after my husband Pete had died, mainly because I couldn't lift anything to store it up in the loft. I bought my unit from storage4crafts. It came with a very good selection of really useful boxes, two folding working tables with enough shelves for the boxes, and now everything is in one place and easy to reach. You will find you will enjoy crafting more now. I wish you many happy days in your crafting room.

love & hugs

Beautiful! Such lovely soft colours I do forget to just use my dies to emboss with I think I need to make myself a poster to hang in my craft room!
1 Emboss with dies and not cut for a change
2 Place dies more centrally on card to "gut" the card and waste less
3 Consider using the waste left behind as a feature
There's more but that'll be a start!

Hi Sue
Well, as you can read, according to a great majority of your Wilsonettes, the weather throughout the country is pretty miserable so you can imagine us all crafting away at some stage of the day!
Here on the West Sussex/Surrey border it is pretty wet and windy, not nice at all so I think some time will be spent having a clearout of all the items I never use now and are taking up valuable space!
However, your beautiful card has brightened my day already. I remember you using this soft sage colour from your stash before and loved it then. Like other blog followers I, too, must remember to use your dies to emboss only as it does give a lovely effect to the card.
Many thanks,as always, for the daily inspiration you give us all!

Morning Sue, I'm late today, actually had a lie in very unusual for me lol.

Beautiful elegant card,
I finally managed to get hold of your pierced flags yesterday, everywhere I've been has sold out other than the Internet, and have invested in one of the tools in one also been after that for a while. Went to a craft workshop yesterday and we used the St Barts die, and one of the stamps to die for, turned out beautiful as does all cards done with your dies and stamps.

I'm almost finished on my grandchild's (pink) let's hope the scan was right lol baby book, will use some of your dies to embellish the front and back, have already used some for making pockets etc. 28 days to go according to the app my daughter has for her countdown. So once I've done just the baby quilt to make and back to full on paper crafting. I am making cards in between just have had a request for a wedding card added to my list of to do's..

Can't remember if I told you I had one of my cards up on the big screen on Create and craft, they were advertising the cut n boss as I used it to make the card using your adorned square dies I sent a photo in. Dean was presenting and seemed amazed at all the detail on it. Made my day lol. All thanks to your dies and tutorials.
Congratulations to the winners you will be delighted with your prizes.

Have a great day, the sun is just appearing here so hopefully no more rain.

Congratulations to the comment winners enjoy your prize, i won a stamp set when i won a prize and use it all the time, and congratulations to yesterdays winner also, i was to stressed to comment yesterday, sorry Sue,
well done Beth on you and OH completing your craft room you will have many happy hours in there, my OH made me a craft room in our spare bedroom and then my son split up with his partner and came back home to live and i had to shift my stuff all over the house, i craft at the moment in the conservatory and we know how much stuff we need around us, LOL, so its no place to sit when we have nice days now. hopefully its not for much longer BUT my grandson and wife and little great grandson will be up from Plymouth at the end of June and he will need the bedroom, so hopefully i should be back in there in JULY yeh and i can once again sit in my conservatory to relax and read, the books are stacking up, LOL
Thank you to the ladies for their comments about my loss of pleasure in driving at the moment it was greatly appreciated, i don't know where my lovely sunshine came from but i have had three lots of washing done and dried outside but it is raining now, love and hugs to all. Johanna
