Necessities

Hello again!  This is the first two die sets in our new Necessities category.  I am really excited to present the "Baked With Love" and "The Apron" die sets during this blog post.  Both sets have been designed to work together, but will work equally as well on their own.  These sets will add extra duty when used with any of the Shadow Box die sets from previous releases as well, which is always an added bonus!  If you think that either of these sets are right up your alley, just leave me a comment on this blog post and you will be entered into the drawing.  Well that is it for today, but we have a whole day full of new dies planned to show you bright and early tomorrow.  I will be going back and visiting the Fillables a bit tomorrow and I have a fab day planned for you!  We will begin at our usual 6am start, so you won't want to miss it!  All for now, Sue x

Hi there my crafty friends!  This post is dedicated to another die set which has been designed to work with both the 3D Window bow and accessories set and the Arched Door/Window die set.  It is the Window Shutter and Valance die set.  It probably also should be mentioned that there are a couple of Stamps To Die For that have been designed to work with this set.  As you can see in this sample, one of the stamps which shows the view looking out of the window.  The other stamp set shows the view of looking into the window, both are great additions to work with this set.  If you would like a chance to win this die set, just leave me a comment and tell me what you think!  The last post for the day will be online at 6pm.  I hope to see you then!  All for now, Sue x

Hello again!  This post is showcasing the new 3D Window Box and accessories die set.  The previous post showed the Arched Window/Door done as a door and here it is again, but this time as a window and using the window box and accessories set.  So very versatile, isn't it!  I know you will have as much fun with this set as I have had.  I can't wait to share all of my ideas over the coming months.  If you like this set, don't forget to leave your comment on this blog post.  I know it is still fairly early in the launch, but I would love to know if you have a favourite die set yet?  Is there a specific set that you are waiting to see?  The next scheduled post is set to go at 3pm today so I really hope that you will be able to come back by the blog for a quick peek at the set on offer.  All for now, Sue x

KInetics

Hello crafters!  First up today is the new Arched Window/Door.  I love this die as it easily works as both a window and a door so there are so many things that you can do with it!  The die set has been designed with 5 separate dies so you can use it in so many ways.  Shown here, I have used it as a door with the pretty decorative arched top piece.  It has been included in our Kinetics categories because it can easily be used in a way to show movement.  The door can be cut in such a way that it will open and close due to the extra dies in the set.  Leave a comment if you would like to be included in this drawing to win this set. Use your special signature on your post so if your name is drawn there won't be any mistake it is you!  Also, don't forget you can hover over the card to have the Pinterest button  pop up and you can save it your favourite Pinterest boards.  The next blog post has been scheduled for 12 noon.  Please pop back by and take a peek.  I am sure you will like it! All for now, Sue  x

The new Porthole die has been designed to fit the round treat cups and can be used as a shaker card if desired.    These two die sets are perfect for those masculine cards we all struggle to make too.  Leave a comment on this post to be included in the drawing to win either of these die sets!  Tomorrows blog post begin at 6am sharp.  I hope to see you there as we have so many great things to share with you!  All for now, Sue x

Fillables

Hi crafters!   Fillables; this die category includes items that have been designed to work with our treat cups.  Shown here, the new Fishbowl die set and Underwater Accessories set are on offer.  The card sample also shows another new addition which is the matching stamp set called Fishbowl Friends  that works perfectly to bring your cards and projects to life.  Don't you just love the cat that is looking into the fishbowl! The fishbowl works with our round treat cup (which also fits the Christmas Snow Globe and the Working Candy Machine) and is so cute!  There are also a bunch of dies that include fish, phrases, an anchor, a sand castle and others to help build your vision! Hi bloggers!  There are two die sets up on offer this post.  Although these have both been designed to work with the Working Candy Machine so they are part of the Kinetics category, I wanted to show you that they work nicely without the machine as well! Shown here, the One in a Million die set makes a great sentiment used in the centre of this card.  If you would like a chance to win either of these die sets, just leave a comment on this blog post!  Don't forget, you can hover over any of the card pictures if you would lie to pin them to any of your boards too.  The next post is scheduled for 3pm today.  I do hope that you can join me back here for it as I going to show you another of the new categories!  All for now, Sue x

Jan 2017 Die Launch

Hello there my crafty friends!  Welcome to the blog launch for the first die release of 2017!  I am particularly excited about this launch as there are some very different ideas, including some new die categories!  We have included a new category called Kinetics and this is the very first die in the category.  First up today is the new Working Candy Machine! Yes it really does work, you just turn the handle and your candy comes out!   I have shown it here in it's simplest form so you can get the idea that I had in mind and I am also including a link to the video I made that shows exactly how easy it is to put together!  Just click on this link to watch it:  https://youtu.be/O2EH7wE_qjM
This is a really fun idea that can be adapted for any occasion and I will be showing you many more ideas over the coming months!  You just turn the handle and the candy comes out!  It is refillable and can be used with a wide variety of different candies .  The best thing is that it is so simple to assemble too, but looks like it took you forever and a day! LOL   Who wouldn't love a version of this card!
As always, please leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win this die set, but please make sure that your name is very distinctive, add a city or an alias (ie, Jill the crafting goddess or Anne E in Glasgow).  Each die set will be given away and I will announce the winners on Monday Feb. 6th.  The next post will be up at 12 noon today!  All for now, Sue x

Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  How about a card for the giveaway today with a pretty vellum obscured background?  I started by cutting six of the Pacific Ocean Borders in Papyrus card. I backed all of them with black.  I attached them to a piece of coconut white card in three rows of two, with the flat edges together.  The plain vellum was then cut to size and attached with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue in the corners.  For the focal element, I cut the Bora Bora die in white and backed it with Papyrus card.  I cut another Bora Bora in black and cut it in half and used it as a drop shadow on either side of the dies.  I cut a centre out of black card using the smaller die in the set and then layered up my stamped sentiment with a papyrus mat under it.  I cut a Striped Nasturtium out of papyrus card and added the striped die over the top cut in black.  I seated it on a bow tied from Black seam binding and added two swirls as accents that were cut from the Beaded Starflower die set.  Black, white and papyrus card mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  Leave a comment if you would like a chance to win this card.  The winner will be announced on Feb. 2nd as we will be having a blog launch for the new dies which starts Thursday morning for a week!  I hope you are excited as I am!  All for now, Sue x

Heartfelt Thanks

Hi there my crafty friends!  I have a soft custard yellow, black and white offering for you today.  I started by creating a background using the custard yellow card and the outer die from the Lotus Striplet.  I cut it four times around a square, slotting it back into place from a previous cut but turning it a right angles each time.  I backed it with white card then created a frame for it.  I used both the Double Pierced Square Noble sets the original and the B set).  I made a multi layered frame using both white and black card.  I attached it with foam over my background.  I cut the Pacific Ocean Tag in custard and backed it in black for contrast.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the other tag in the set.  I seated the tag with the sentiment in the centre of the card.  Using the Striped Nasturtiums, I cut several of varying sizes of the solid petal and assembled them so they were cascading across the card.  I added white flatback pearls to all the centres as accents. The card was completed with custard white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x
