A Joyful Christmas

Hello bloggers!  I do have to apologize as I missed this one before Christmas because it wasn't in my Festive file!  I didn't want not to post it as I think it is quite pretty but I think this is the final Christmas themed card of the year (at least I hope so!)  I selected a piece of cobalt blue card for the background.  I used the Stitched Hills and Clouds die and cut two rolling hills in white.  I used a fine tipped white marker to add the snow to the sky.  I cut the Corner Cottage out of tan card and added a darker brown roof, windows and door.  I cut a white circle and added to the upper corner and the Santa and sleigh were cut in black and added across the moon.  I added the cottage with a white fence, a lamppost  and an assortment of trees around it.  I cut the A Joyous Christmas in black and glued it to the bottom of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7 3/4"  in size.

Wishing You A Day Filled With Sunshine

Hello crafters!  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and cut a piece of white card to use for the background.  I stamped the background village from the Cottage Scenes Stamp set.  I inked the area above it with Tumbled Glass distress ink.  I cut the Keeper's Cottage in blue card and added a grey roof and a teal door.  I added it to the left side of the card with a streetlamp next to it.  I cut the Book Shop out of cobalt blue and added lime green windows and door.  I cut the Awning out of white card and filled in the name with a black marker.  I cut the Primrose Cottage out of shades of purple and added it at the bottom of the card.  I stamped the sentiment in black in the corner.  I added several trees around the buildings as accents.  I cut the Looped Rectangles in white and matted the scene on top of it.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

Best Friends Forever

Good Sunday morning all!!  I still have some pop up cards to share.  I really like making these, but they are ever so difficult for me to take pics of them!  I started with the Wild Rose Cover Plate and cut it with two pieces of white card.  I glued the cut die to the embossed (non cut) die then proceeded to cut it again in each of the colors and I paper pieced it into the die.  I matted it with black and red mats and added the Best Friends Forever sentiment cut from the Friendship Wordie sheets. Next I cut the 3D Maker die, in white, to the inside of the card.  I used the Wild Rose die set and cut them in the same colors as the front of the card.  I added the flowers to the pop ups in the middle of the card with greenery added as accents. I cut the Sending You Sunshine sentiment in black and glued it to the bottom of the inside card.  I added a flower stem next to it and a couple f flower heads on the other side.  To the top of the inside card, I used a double stemmed flower and a large butterfly from the Bountiful Butterflies die set.  The finished dimensions are 4 1/2"  x  5 1/2" folded.

Just Another Day In Paradise

Hi bloggers!  I cut a piece of white card and used a piece of copy paper to cover half the card.  I used Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks to swipe across the top of the card horizontally.  I moved the copy paper to the top of the card, covering the area that was just inked.  I used Salty Ocean and Story Sky Distress inks to create the water at the bottom of the card.  I cut three sailboats from the Fish Shop die set out of white card.  I cut them again out of red, blue and teal and nipped away the bottom part of the boat and glued it onto the white die cuts.  I added them to the water rea with some white waves.  I cut the sun from the Rain Or Shine die set and glued it into the corner.  I cut the Just Another Day In Paradise sentiment in black and glued it to the yellow background.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

Just For You

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of cobalt blue card to use as the background.  I used the Paws & Kisses stamp from the Pet Pal Stamp set and stamped it in black randomly all over the card.  Next I cut two Stained Glass Rectangles in white.  I backed the larger one with black card and backed the smaller one with cobalt blue card.  I added the matted pair to the centre of the card.  I cut Pet Pal Dottie out of white card and used a fine tipped black felt pen to add in his spots and face.  I cut a blue shirt and cap and added it to Dottie.  I cut a white envelope and added a red heart to it then tucked it into his mouth.  I added several red hearts around his head.  I cut the Just For You sentiment in black and glued it above his head.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  9"  in size.

Enjoy Your Day

Hello bloggers!  I embossed  piece of white card with the Tidal Sands embossing folder.  Using Tumbled Glass Distress ink, I lightly sponged over the top of the embossed design.  I cut a white frame using the Double Pierced Circles.  I added mounting foam to the back f it then added a piece of white card with a grey strip across it and blue water below.  I cut the Fish Shop out of blush card and added a slate grey roof, door and awning to it.  I cut the delivery truck out of blue card and added it next to the building.  I cut the lamppost out of white and coloured the pole black and added some yellow around the lights.  I cut two clouds an glued them above the fish shop.  I added the Enjoy Your Day sentiment at the bottom of the card which I cut from the Wordie sheets.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

My Favourite Cards Of 2024

 Hello crafters and Happy New Year!  Here are some of my personal favourite cards from 2024 (that are not Christmas or Halloween related.)  There is no particular order to them, just how I happened to come across them in my files.  They just sang to me in some way once I finished them.  I hope you like them and maybe even have a few on your list of the ones that you liked the best on the blog from the past year too!  Looking forward to reading your comments and hearing what you think!  Let me know if there was a favourite that I missed from this list too!  All for now, Sue x
