Let The Adventure Begin

Hi bloggers!  I started with a piece of white card and I used Distress inks to create the background in the frame.  I used Salty Ocean on the bottom, then used Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber and blended them to make the sky.  I cut the Fishing Frame out of brown card and I cut away the fishing basket, fishing net and fishing rod.  I cut the die a second time and cut out the Gone Fishing sign and used a fine tipped black marker to go over all the lines and the words on the sign, then added it to top of the frame over the original.  I cut the frame again out of green card and cut away the cattails.  I used a brown marker on the cattails then glued them on to the frame.  I cut the frame again out of white and nipped away the fishing net.  I used a red marker to add accents, then glued it into place on the original.  I cut the canoe out of tan card and used some tea dye distress ink around the edges, then added it to the frame where the fishing rod had been cut away.  I put mounting foam on the back of the frame then added it to the inked background, trimming away any excess from around the edges of the frame.  I cut the Let The Adventure Begin sentiment in black and glued it to the inside of the frame.  I added the entire frame to a larger piece of white card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/4"  in size.

I will be back on Monday morning with more cards to share with you then.   All for now, Sue x
