Just Because

Hello crafters!  I used the Pearlescent Watercolour Inks for the background for today's card.  I used Turquoise Cascade, Fresh Meadow, Golden Sunrise, Ray Of Sunshine and Purple Twilight watercolour inks and allowed them to dry thoroughly.  I cut the Floral Rectangle Frame in white and cut an aperture in the centre of it.  I cut a small white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles and glued a piece of acetate to the back then added mounting foam.  I seated it in the centre of the frame, then added the frame to the background.  I cut the Just Because Block sentiment in black and glued the words to the clear acetate in the frame.  From the Jewelled Scalloped Border set, I cut two scalloped edge pieces out of black card and glued them to the sides of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
Ohhh this new rectangle floral frame is just absolutely gorgeous the intricate detail is just amazing, I'd love to see your pencil sketch from the very start to what we now see on your inspirational samples, I can't imagine the time it took to get it to the perfect die you had in your minds eye. And now you post this beautiful sample full of colour I'd also love to see in all its glory as photo's never do your work justice. I just love today's post ... why?
Just because.

Hi Sue
Happy Tuesday everyone x
Well I’m just taking a moment to appreciate the absolute beauty of the Floral Rectangle Frame. It is a stunning die but it looks even more incredible showcased on this card. It must be that wonderful colourful background. I’ve got a feeling that ‘in real life’ those colours would look much more pearlescent as I don’t think the pictures are doing them justice. This bright, cheery card is just what is needed on this cold grey day.
Take care one and all x
Sending you all positive thoughts x
