Hi bloggers! I started today's card by cutting the
Ric Rac Ribbon Background twice out of white card. I offset them to create a slightly different pattern to the background, then added a piece of raspberry card behind to show through. Using the
Double Stitched Circles, I cut a wide white frame and added it with mounting foam over the background. I cut away the excess background around the circular frame. I used the
Scalloped Squares and cut two sizes to use as mats behind the circular frame. I cut the
Noble Happy Birthday sentiment out of both raspberry card and black card. I shadowed the sentiment and glued it inside the frame. Using the
Cosmos Flowers, I cut enough of them to make three flowers. I inked the centres of the flowers with
Picked Raspberry ink, then spritzed them with water. I scrunched the flowers, then allowed them to dry before assembling them. I added two flowers to the upper part of the frame and the other one in the opposite corner. I used the foliage from the
Pinwheel Floral set cut in white as accents for the flowers. The card was completed with white, raspberry and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Oh Sue this is gorgeous and stunning and vibrant and a Sue Wilson design through and through. I don't know what else to say other than thank you for these beautiful inspirational posts, I don't know where I'd be had I not have found you and CE all those years ago. Just one plea from someone but not the only one with painful knuckle and hand joints and twisted arthritic fingers, will your boss consider getting rid of the really stiff single use plastic packaging and change it to something easier, cheaper to make, and less painful to get in to please 😀

Good Morning Sue. A beautiful card this morning. I love everything about it ... the lovely pop of pink and the gorgeous ric rac background. A true Sue Wilson card.
I also would like to agree with STEPHANIE. if I may. My fingers and hands are not what they used to be. And I find it very difficult to get into the packaging. Some mornings I can't even feel the ends of my fingers making it difficult to pick things up. Thank heaven for my trusty tweezers.

Morning Sue - I just love the versatility of your backgrounds, in the a bit of off-setting and the use of different colours can create a completely different effect! Picked raspberry and peacock feathers are my two favourite colours! Today’s card is absolutely beautiful, I’ve just ordered the scalloped square dies and can’t wait for them to arrive. I was sorting through my MANY Sue Wilson dies over the weekend and Wow there are so many beautiful dies that I haven’t used for ages. So it’s my plan to start using them in future projects, the first set of dies you brought out I made wedding stationary with and received so many compliments! We keep buying and forgetting the older ones lol!

Hi Sue and everyone, Sue im sorry to be absent again for such a long time. I had a few health issues of my own to deal with.
Todays card is beautiful im loving all the layers and the ric rac background looks fabulous. The pops of pink look stunning against the white, and I agree a true Sue Wilson card.
Just watched the shows with Jamie on C & C and im loving the new dies Sue. I loved the beach theme and the way all the dies can be used with the other sets also the two background dies were very useful and the shirt was fabulous.
