Hello crafters! Welcome to the final post of the February die release blog launch. I know these smaller releases just go by so quickly don't they! This post is to showcase the Beach Waves Background. I have used it here behind the circle aperture die set (from the January release) as I just thought it made a cute backdrop for the sea creatures. If this set is calling your name, then you just need to pop a comment on this post and don't forget to check back on the 22nd of Feb. to see if your name is on the winners list!

Afternoon Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh waves, so stunning again I can think of paper piecing and stencilling with this die set, a beautiful backdrop for all the beach and sea dies in a lot of your collections some even older ones can be incorporated with the dies to produce a really stunning, creation and I am loving the sentiment which is perfect on here. I think this has just become my new favourite background die !!! So much amazing paper piecing to be done with this one. (Sorry, I am obsessed with paper piecing !!!)
I think this is a really beautiful looking background design. So lovely to do with polished silk glitters, Pixie powders and crystal tints onto acetate to. So many fab techniques to use with this die.

What a beautiful background.
Like the bubbles background the look of this will change with all the different techniques behind it. It is ideal used for the waves but also looks like a whirlwind! I know you used that word to describe this launch & you are right it has gone so quickly but I like the idea of a mini launch each month, gives us all something to look forward to. This has been a great launch as it is so different to anything else I can remember. Thank you Sue. Would just love to know where your ideas come from!

Hi Sue, the Beach Waves Background is very clever and, as you said, it makes the perfect backdrop for the sea creatures. Although this card is quite busy I do really like it and recognise most of the elements from older die sets. Thanks for a very interesting and different launch.

The beach waves is definitely not going to be a one trip pony. It is such a beautiful die and is going to create so many wonderful backdrops for so many cards. Paper piecing is definitely going to be a project worth trying and I can’t wait to see the samples you no doubt have in store for us in the upcoming weeks x
Thank you for so many amazing card samples. As always I want all of the new dies. Will need to clear a space and then hint and leave obvious clues - I takes a while for the penny to drop but when the dies arrive it’s always worth it x
