Joy To The World

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by cutting the Slimline Outer Scalloped Rectangle Aperture Trio die out of white card.  I decided to add a bit more detail and cut the Inner Scalloped Rectangle Aperture Trio and glue them together.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and added a piece of arctic blue card behind it.  I left a wide margin around the dies so I added a thin brown frame using the Slimline Essential Frames die set.  I pulled out the Forest Animal die set and cut all three deer out of shades of brown.  I added the mama deer and baby deer to the left aperture.  I added the buck with some trees glittered with Iced Snow to the right aperture.  I cut the Stacked Joy To The World sentiment cut in brown to the centre aperture.  The card was completed with white and nutmeg brown mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and all.
I love it Sue/ The beautiful background is typical Sue and you have made great use of the brown card stock. The Deer remind me so vividly of my 22 years living in Canada where the Deer came up to the Craft room window to see what I was doing..
The sentiment is great also.
Thank you.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh I do so like the slimline aperture dies and the DL ones, I have the whole set of them and have used them often, this is a gorgeous sample, what I love is on the close up photos you can see all the detail from the dies so clearly and crisply.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue. How nice to see that you can use different aperture dies together to add more detail. I love to see non-traditional elements used to create Christmas cards and this cute little deer family fit the bill perfectly.

Hi Sue, I love this card. I have the forest animals and they all appear regularly on my cards but I had not thought to put them in the slimline apertures, something that will be rectified shortly :-)

Onto today's Card. Well it's a slimline so no worries for me on that ... I love them. But I don't have those beautiful little animals ... Yet. A lovely card Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

Love these sweet deer images. This card would be a delight for anyone to receive, but especially a man. It is sometimes difficult to make a Christmas card with a more masculine style. This is a wonderful card. Hugs.

The die set only seems to be an outline, how did you get the impression on it?
