Happy Holly Days

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started this red and white treat by cutting the Ornate Oval Frame die twice.  I cut them in half, then made a triple white frame using the Double Stitched Squares.  I glued the cut halves of the Ornate Oval to the inside of the triple frame.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame to raise it, then attached it over another piece of white card.  I cut the Happy Holly Days sentiment in black and glued it to the centre of the frame.  Using the Poinsettia Stampcuts, I inked and cut three flowers.  I coloured them with Distress Markers (Festive Berries, Pine Needles and Fossilized Amber).  I attached them in opposite corners and added Holly Accent Sprays cut from Khaki green card.  I used a soft white pencil to add highlights to the flowers.  The card was completed with white and ruby red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue. What a lovely way to make a relatively plain frame more ornate. I wish I would have thought of that before! Love the card and the pretty poinsettias too.

Good Morning Sue. Ohhhh what a beauty. I have been looking for something traditional to send to our friends in Holland ... And here it is ... I love it for me and I want it for them. I don't have the same oval that you have used but I do have one that will do the job. Also the Poinsettias will have to be substituted ... But that's not a problem either. And I can't wait to start it. It's a beautiful card. Again you have come to my rescue. And always on cue. Thankyou Sue.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

So sorry Sue ... I might not be able to post over the weekend. We are going away this morning till Sunday. It's a Day of Dance non stop in Blackpool and am not sure if I will get the internet.
My apologies in advance. x x
