You Are So Special

Good Sunday morning all!  I started this simple slimline card by using the Pearlescent watercolour inks on a piece of white card.  I used the Golden Sunrise and the Lime Sherbet watercolour inks.  I used the Slimline Stitched Rectangle Trio Aperture die and cut it out of the watercoloured card.  I added mounting foam to raise it and added it over a piece of white card.  I used the Lily of the Valley die set and cut them in white and added them to the upper and lower apertures.   I added Iced Snow to all the flowers on each of the stems.   I cut the sentiment out of the leftover watercoloured card and added a black offset shadow.   I added the You Are So Special to the centre aperture opening.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are  4 1/4"  x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, I'm not one for Green unless I use it for leaves or the tree die I don't know what it is I've never liked green but the contrast of various colours makes it more subtle but the complete design I'd beautiful and I won't be the only one to tell you how special you are. Have a good day and stay well everyone cuz you're ALL special xx

Hi Sue and everyone, im not a green card lover either but im really liking this look, maybe its because its not just a solid green colour. The delicate flowers look fab too with the hint of sparkle.
I hope you all have a special day, take care, hugs

Hi Sue. What a lovely card to showcase the delicate lily of the valley which could so easily get lost on a larger card. It looks stunning against the watercolour frame.

Hi Sue

Beautiful card, love the colours and the Lily of the valley dies cuts.

Lily of the valley always brings back memories of not long after I started crafting. I had used a rubber stamp of Lily of the valley and coloured it in and hand cut it out and put it on my Dads birthday card as he loved his garden. He said he liked it but “you don’t get purple flowers on Lily of the valley, they are supposed to be white”. I felt really stupid as I didn’t know this. I always remember that. I don’t think I’d ever seen a real one at that time.

Love Helen xxx
