Happy Everything

Hi bloggers!  I started by covering a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Autumn Blaze Gilding Flakes.  I used a rubbit scrubbit pad to move the flakes around and refine them and take away any excess.  Next I used the Priscella die to cit an aperture in the centre.   I used the Rose Bed 3D embossing folder to add texture.  Using a Black Soot Oxide pad, I lightly ran it over the top of the embossed surface, then coated it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and attached it over a piece of white card.  I cut the Priscella die out of black card and recessed it into the aperture.  I cut the centre of the Priscella die in white and added it over another small piece of gilded card.  I cut the Happy Everything sentiment in black and glued it to the centre and added the piece with foam to the card.  I used the outline dies from the Cosmos Flowers set and cut them out of white card covered with sticky adhesive sheet.  I glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz then assembled the flowers.  I added them in opposite corners with white Leafy Branches as accents.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue
Well panic over. When I logged in at 6 this morning it was showing yesterday’s post and much as I love all of those beautiful cards I did start to get a little twitchy at the thought of our beloved blog coming to an abrupt and unexpected end! I hope the gremlins have been packed away securely in their box x
Today’s card is magnificent in all its gilded glory. What a stunner! Gilding flakes - another item in my crafty stash which very rarely sees the light of day. I really must sort myself and my stash out and put everything to good use. I have so many bits and pieces which I have bought with every intention of over using and then they are put to one side and - well you know what happens next - I don’t think I am the only one x
Wishing everyone a happy Thursday - much later than usual - it’s almost lunchtime x
Crafty hugs

Afternoon Sue,
Just back from our couple of days at the beach so a bit late. Just looked at yesterday's assortment of cards. I started off selecting my favourite ones but I think it would have been easier to ask, which ones I wouldn't choose. Answer ...... None.
You keep showing us cards with gilding flakes one lately which are lovely when embossed. I have managed to find mine and have trapped them inside a bigger box, but haven't released the little demons as yet because they seem to multiply instead of reducing.
Really pretty card though. Hugs xxx Pauline

Beautiful design. Your technique of using gilding flakes, dry embossing this layer, highlighting with black ink and then heat embossing clear embossing powder results in a stunning effect. Well done.
