Best Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I have another fun opalescent card for you today!  I started with a piece of white card and used the Pink Thistle and Lavender Blue Opal Polishes all over the background.  I like to put them on in a streaky fashion so you can see both of the colours when it dries, rather than blending them into a single colour.  Next I used the Rainbow Heart 3D embossing folder to add texture to my background.  I cut one of the Hexagonal borders in white and then added an offset one cut in b;lack as a shadow.  I cut a strip of the opal background from a leftover bit and glued it down the middle of the border and added mounting foam to raise it.  Since it was a little bit short, I cut it and glued the longer piece to the top of the card and the shorter piece to the bottom of the card, leaving an inch gap.  I added my floral element there to hide the gap.  I used the Exquisite Poppy die cut in white and used some of the Opal Polish on the very tips of the petals.  I cut the Lace Edged Leaves in white to accent the flower.  I added a sentiment by cutting the Best Wishes in black and glued it to a Pierced Flag die then attached it under the edge of the flower across the card. I cut a white butterfly from the Magical Butterflies die set and glued it in the upper corner. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  7 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x
