Many Thanks

Hi crafters!  I pulled out the Wild Roses embossing folder to start this card.  I embossed a piece of coconut white card as the background.  I cut a smaller square of white card and added an Old Rose mat to it.  I die cut the top layer of the Anna die and cut it into four pieces and glued them into each of the corners.  Next I cut the Melissa die out of Old Rose card.  Before removing it from the die, I added a small dab of glue t each of the pieces of the fall away from the die, then laid it down on to a piece of white card and pushed the pieces out so they were in the same spot on the card as in the die.  I did this again with the second layer die cut out of Powder pink card and layered it up onto the Old Rose fall away pieces.  I made a multi layered frame using the Double Stitched Circles with a wider white base and a thin Old Rose layer on top.  I cut a piece of vellum and glued it across the frame, then added mounting foam to the back of the frame to raise it.  I added the frame over the fall away pieces and glued everything in to the centre of the card with the Anna corners.  I cut the Many Thanks out of both Old Rose and black card, shadowed it then added them to the vellum strip.  The card was completed with white and Old Rose mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. I ask the same question every morning as Kitty, and here's another - Do you ever lose interest ? I can't remember the last time I wanted to make a card and I can't find my enthusiasm but I look at your blog every day and love what you do, these new layered dies give such a different look, something completely different to any other designer and today's inspiration is just that, the hint of old rose is just gorgeous. I'd love to find my love of card making again, maybe it's the heat zapping my energy who can tell. Whatever you do today enjoy every minute xxx

Good Morning Sue and all
Such a beautiful card this morning with so much detail. You always have a great eye for colour and adding different layers of patterns on the design. The embossing folder works beautifully with the layering dies.

Hi Sue
Ingenious - those fall away pieces are so pretty. The old rose and powder pink are such a soft and beautiful colour combination and I always love vellum however it is used on a card.
I dread to think how many embossing folders you have in your stash. I have a fair few but your collection must be unbelievable!
Well folks I hope you manage to stay in the shade today! Happy Thursday x

It seems such a pity to keep using the same words every day but I can't think of any that I haven't used before. Great, wonderful, exquisite, fantastic and so it goes on. Anyway Sue today's card is all of those things and beautiful too.
Thank you Sue.

Hi Sue, a beautiful card whose simplicity belies the amount of work put in to create it. Far too hot already to concentrate on much and I hope everyone manages to somehow keep cool.

And am having a problem with my landline number and a hospital appnt., so it'll be late at night.
It's a beautiful card though, and I'll like to know what you did especially with the fall away pieces

Hi Sue, thank you for your frugal tips. As crafters, we never want to throw any thing away, as "it might just come in handy".However, when it does; we can never find it. Must be the heat affecting my brain.
Lovely card, colours and embossing folder. Hugs xx Pauline
