Congratulations

Hi bloggers!  I am shifting away from all the blue cards lately to this soft green one.  I started by cutting the Lesley die into the centre of a piece of Seafoam green card in a diamond orientation.  I cut it two more times on either side, slightly overlapping into the centre cut, but in a square orientation each time.  I backed it with white card.  I cut another piece of seafoam green card using the outer die from the Lesley, then backed it in white and cut the centre out.  I added mounting foam to it and seated it in the centre of the card.  I cut the Beatrice die in white and backed it in white and added it to thee centre of the frame.  I cut the Congratulations sentiment twice and stacked, then added one in black slightly offset as a shadow.  I added it to a white shadow and then glued it into the middle of the Beatrice die. I made scrunched flowers using the Petite Forget Me Nots in white and added them in opposite corners.  Using a double strip of white pearls, I cut them in half and added a strip to the top and bottom edges of the card as an accent.  White and seafoam green mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Oh! What a beauty Sue. The sea foam green is such a pretty colour. I do love those pearls too. I use mine very sparingly and only put them on my sister's and besty's cards but they really do finish a card off beautifully. I don't have these dies but have added them to my ever growing 'want' list.
Received my fuchia and triple background die this morning. Can't wait to use them. Hugs xx Pauline

Hi Sue, my apologies for not commenting on this gorgeous card yesterday, my day was totally taken up with following the England cricket team and their amazing win over Australia. This card is stunning and I absolutely love it. The seafoam card is beautiful and as I have the Lesley die I will take some inspiration from your card for a birthday card that I need to make.
