Gorgeous card Sue. Very elegant
Congratulations to lucky Liz, enjoy your card.
Elaine, sorry to hear about Johs eye problem, hope the appointment comes quickly and he gets sorted. Hope you are taking care of yourself, how is Mary.
Carmen, how did the Kids last day go, pretty sad for you all. Think the Lord knew he would need help love and support so he sent him to your workplace to work with his angels till it was over and he was strong enough to go on with his life.
Marie, you have a big job on your hands at your age, do you have anyone to help you. I hope you are being careful.
My lovely friend Suzanne who sits across the office from me told me yesterday she is leaving in Nivember, she has had enough and says life is too short to waste working when no one cares about the staff. She is my biggest shock as she really can't afford to go as she will be on reduced pension for a few years but she said she will learn to manage. Be a manager in there, I wouldn't take a herd of gold cows and do that job, no thank you. Trouble is we are being left with the worst of the bunch and that will make my mind up for me.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, it's Sunderland Airshiw this weekend so may see some the Ww2 planes flying overhead.
Hugs to all, thinking if all our poorly and missing friends, Laine how are you Hun.

Gorgeous card Sue. It could also be a sympathy card - over the last two years I've had to make a lot of sympathy cards so I'm always looking for new ideas.
Congratulations to Liz. I'm sure you'll enjoy your card.
Pam, you're so caring about others, please look after yourself. I hope things resolve at work. Surely eventually they'll realise what's going on?
Thoughts and prayers to all who need them.

Happy Saturday Sue. What a gorgeous elegant card to give a proud excited anxious parent on their child's Christening day. A real keepsake to look back on or have mounted for the nursery wall.
A cross die has so many valuable uses from the start of a life being blessed, to the end of a life being celebrated and many religious occasions inbetween, and this is a beautiful cross. Along with the font of the sentiment and everything behind the main focal element it's a really lovely sample and I'll watch the video when my two are out soon. Back to the old routine, but where to start - goodness knows !! Don't think i'll be fit for market tomorrow the way i feel just now after a long drive yesterday.
Many congratulations to Liz enjoy your gift.
Love n hugs to you Sue xxx

Pam, hope the weather is better in Sunderland than it is down the coast! Sorry about your friend leaving, why does no one high up notice what's going on in your office? I will say that any doubts I had about leaving have gone as I've slept soundly for at least 7 hours a night since I finished, before I was lucky to get 3! Didn't think the change would happen so quickly. I'll echo your comments today if I may. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

Hi Sue,

A really ornate card today, perfect for an older child or adult, personally I would not choose to use black for a baby's Christening.

Congratulations Liz on your card win, you will sure to treasure it.

Must dash to my first jumble sale in years, I'm picking my friend up along the way so we are hoping many bargains will be found.

Special hugs for Pam today. You keep us all buoyed up with your inspiring comments.

Dear Sue and Loyal Commenters,

Dark, ornate and gilded, like the inside of a cathedral, only without the stained glass.

I never even noticed the swirls, and I'm surprised you didn't have to heat emboss.

Let everyone enjoy their weekend moments without worrying about Monday, Rosemary, or two weeks from Tuesday, Nattyboots, or November, Pam.

Congratulations, Liz!

So glad to have escaped all demands on me for the whole weekend. Hoping to hear how the lunch went for The Kid.

Love,

Hi Sue,
Love the details and the elegance of this cross. Use it as a focal element, like here or to create a background, as you did it before, proves how versatile the Elegant Cross die is. Combined with my favourite Samantha, the card should be a winner if the color combination will be different. Sorry Sue, but I personally cannot use so dark colors for a happy event like Christening. Thank you for the great video.

Congratulations Liz Crafty Sunflower!!!

Pam – Sorry your friend plans to leave as well. If so many left already, others plan to do it soon, who is going to do the work? You need to have a plan B or C in case they will give you too much to do. Think about your physical and mentally health, with more work, more stress is coming too, but no more money, for sure. Take care.
CraftSuetoo – A good sleep is a good sign that your stress is going away and you accept the change easier than you thought. This is the first step to a better life. Good for you.
Elaine – Hope Andrew enjoyed his day in Cardiff. Hugs for you and yours.

Dear friends, we had an enjoyable farewell lunch on Friday. When the kid sent an email on Thursday to announce he resigned he didn’t mention the reason, many were concerned that the reason is a health one. By the time we had lunch, everybody knew about his new job, so nobody bothered him with questions during of lunch. It was nice to be all together ...more or less: our GM didn’t honored us with his presence not even for 5 min,(his loss), one co-worker who is a shy guy didn’t participate (no idea why) and another co-worker, a lady who is vegetarian stayed at her desk, upset that beside some steamed vegetables was nothing else for her to eat. She is the only vegetarian in our office and it is not first time when she doesn’t say anything when an event is planned but she’s complaining after the facts. I don’t eat lamb and goat meat, for example, and I mentioned to the person who ordered the food, another 2 people don’t eat beef, they talked to the lady as well, but our vegetarian lady expects everybody to remember her food preferences. One lady brought her own food and she joined us, in our office lunch. So, when you really care and want to be part of such event, it is possible. However, we enjoyed the food, the talk, the jokes and laugh. The kids got lots of hugs and kisses and good wishes. Next week is our shut down but both, the Kid and I are working on Thursday. We plan to have a coffee together. Hopefully his adorable girlfriend will join us. They plan to go back home at the end of this year. Between you and me, I won’t be surprise if they will get engaged there. They make a beautiful couple. I will be so happy for them.

In this note,
Have a great Sunday everyone.
