Congrats

Hi crafters!  This card was originally done as a show demo but I never had enough time to do it!  I just love extending my frames and this is no exception!  I cut the Swiss Background die twice out of coconut white card.  I backed both of them with Silver card and then cut the centres out of the.  I lined up both dies and cut them at about 2/3rds the way across, then put the two larger halves together to create a much larger frame.  I stamped the Petal Fanfare Stamp To Die For on to silver card and embossed it with Silver Shine embossing powder, then cut it out with the matching Zurich dies to create a frame.   I used the inside die from the Geneva set cut in white to seat the frame over and then added my sentiment to the centre cut with an oval.  I created several poppies out of vellum and used them to hide the join lines in the outer frame.  The largest one was seated on a satin ribbon bow.  White and silver mats were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue. I hope you had a peaceful day yesterday with your memories of your wonderful Dad and Mum too. All of the comments reflected how touching your dads lessons in life were and how inspirational they are to everyone who reads them. Thank you for posting them again, they helped me.
Tina, I was so happy to see your post. I have missed you and I understand how difficult it is for you but as you say one day at a time and we are always here for you, when you are ready to pop back.
Laine, of course, you are right lol.
Patricia and all of the other ladies, thank you for my comforting hugs yesterday, I needed them.
Elaine, big hugs for Andrew and Helen, hope he is still feeling stronger.
Gang of Nine, is Norah any better it has been a while. Pass on my hugs and best wishes for her.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a lovely card today, it is so nice to be reminded about enlarging our frames etc., I often reduce them but very rarely enlarge them, will have to give this a go, the flowers look really smashing too.

Pam I kept thinking of you and Sue yesterday, special hugs are on their way again today because you are both very special people.

Tina, lovely to have you back, we were all worried about you, as they say one day at a time, would love to hear how you are doing whenever you feel like it, or when the phone will let you, these contraptions are complex sometimes.

Elaine, how is Andrew and Helen doing, one day at a time I know.

Sending special hugs to everyone who needs them.

I am waiting for a skype call with my granddaughter this morning she is 5 today, a very special little girl who has given us all in the family so much joy.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Morning Sue. I really love the design of the Swiss background die, like tiny crowns all linked together, makes me ask myself why isn't it in my collection ! It's so clever how you design your dies to be extended and of course the seam never shows it has no need as it can always be covered up with another beautiful design. A real pretty card made with love. I managed to read through your post again yesterday and pointed out the reason to my keeper why our loft is so full ! At least it put a smile on his face again followed by " I remember that from last year" sounds a lovely man, just like your dad was Steph "
I remember your post too well Pam so my thoughts were with you too and hope the happy warm memories kind of got you through a day you wish you'd never gone through x
On that note Sue, my hugs are on their way, thank you for a gorgeous card today, and look forward to John showing your new collection tomorrow as I'm sure you are. Have a lovely day whatever your plans xxx

I like so much that you show us how to cut your die cuts to suit our vision of a card design. I see that you did not cut the frame straight across, but instead cut at a different place down the side of the frame to allow for the strategic placement of your flowers and bow to hide that join. Good job!
