Linear Elegance Card

Hi crafters!  Today's video card shows a pretty way to use the edgers to create backgrounds and layer with other dies to add just a bit of detail to your edges.  I hope you enjoy it!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Gloria, congratulations on the safe arrival of your granddaughter, a truly joyous occasion. Hope you had a lovely cuddle.
Saba, it is very tiring trying to answer all the little people's questions, but fun too. You seem to be having a really good time.
Sandra, I received a mother of pearl backed prayer book for my First Holy Communion, it was beautiful.
My new dies are the Arched window, window box accessories and the shutter set. Also got 2 hearts and the treat boxes.
Hi to Lori, now our Carmen won't feel the only Canadian fan.
June, glad to hear you are doing well.
Elaine, when is Andrews next treatment. Hope all is still well.
Tina, thinking of you.

Morning Sue. A gorgeous card. Loving all the finishing touches, bow, flower and leaves. You are a truely talented card designer as i would never think to put so many different dies together and finish with this beautiful card. Morning Sue
I really don't know how you keep coming up with these wonderful cards and different ways to use the various dies and today's card is beautiful. For some reason I keep reaching for the Mocha, Papyrus and taupe card lately to make my cards. Quite unusual for me as I am usually a lilac, pink and pastel card lover, but these colours really appeal to me the cards always look so elegant. Thank you for the great video once again.

Dear Sue and Happy Crafters,

Who would have guessed that was little Molly peeking out from behind the ingenious background!?!
And the colors are so satisfying together. It amazes me that you know which colors to put where and they always look good.
Im happy to learn that you will be on Hochanda on Saturday because I'll be able to see it online.
Maria Alder, I had to read back through Monday's comments to understand what you meant when you suggested to Diane that she use a file on her twigs. Diane had said the Family Tree was starting to grow on her. Very funny, Maria!
P. Austen, that was a great idea to try the Family Tree background technique using one of the other foliage dies. That would work for a smaller card, too. I'm wondering, for Tuesday's card, if one of the striplets could substitute for the linear edger.
Theresa Pace, no offense, but when I saw your photo, I thought it was me. I haven't figured out how to get my photo to show up on blogger.
Congratulations to Gloria on what Carmen called her new grand-bundle-of-joy. And to June Smith for her husband cooking her breakfast!
Best to everyone,
Love,
Donita

Once again you have shown the versatility of your dies Sue. Who would have thought this background was made from an edger die? Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Its always a treat to have a video demonstration accompanying the card sample...i guess that I'm not the only one who appreciates a step by step visual tutorial as opposed to the usual written instructions which sometimes don't sink in as easily as they should, blame it on my advancing years:-) Today's card is gorgeous, i just love the colour palette, milk, taupe and mocha sound just good enough to eat! The effects are stunningly warm and would suit both sexes i think....i know that there is a messy bow and flower of sorts but they're inoffensive and shouldn't cause a problem to even the butchest of men. I adore all of the dies used but as per usual of late I don't have any of the dies yet:-( Nevermind, in time, i can still appreciate its beauty from afar and i really enjoyed your video demo, it was informative and inspiring, many thanks.
Apologies for my rude absence during the past few days, i had another seizure and chronic migraine and felt it best to avoid online activity. All is good now though, i even ventured out yesterday to have my roots touched up and what little hair i have left trimmed....its always a tonic and boosts your confidence even if it does leave a sizeable hole in the bank account that could have been filled with dies:-(
I see we have some new members of the blog, welcome, i hope you enjoy your experience as much as i have since i plucked up the courage to comment, we are a friendly bunch...apart from Yvonne and Maureen who are a couple of troublemakers so keep an eye out for them:-).....and its always nice to see more people join our community who appreciate and validate Sues hardwork. Just a point though, some of us have a questionable sense of humour but you can rest assure that everything said is meant in jest.
Carmen, your English is fabulous and puts some of us to shame...i struggle on a personal level to understand Yvonne's coarse Geordie accent, she has yet to grasp the English language properly and she was born there!:-)
Gloria, congrats on your happy arrival!
Elaine, i hope Andrew manages to get his treatment this week and that you are well.
Tina T and Nanna Tina, hope you are both okay, missing youxxx
June, what a doll your husband is making your breakfast, if only all men were so well house trained:-)
Yvonne, looking forward to our chat tomorrow, its been so long since ive had the pleasure due to your hectic social calendar, hope you've fully recovered from all that partying:-)
Lynda and Maria, sending hugs, hope you are both well
Myra, if you are the intelligent one then Maureen's IQ must be in single figures!:-) Hope you are feeling better honeyxxx
Hugs to P, Pat, Pam, Maureen, Frances, Tracy,Norah, Deb C, and all my blog bestiesxxx

Good evening Sue,
Like few others I was a bit unsure about this one. I have watched the Video and I am now far more interested.
Today, I used the idea you showed a few days ago. The one using the Circle Dies to give the effect of ovals.
Thank you for all the inspiration.

Hello Sue
Thank you for another informative video, it really does help. I adore the colour combination you have used on today's beauty. The Linear Elegance Edger looks fabulous used as a background and you you gave us a flower and a bow too! Love it.

Pam didn't you do,well, what a lovely collection of dies.
Gloria what a beautiful name for your granddaughter, you'll need to make a granny's brag book full of photos too.
Elaine I have my fingers and toes all crossed for Andrew on Thursday.
Laine, so very sorry you have been ill again, sending you a big hug.
Had another fun filled day with my grandson and am yet again shattered, where do they get their energy from.
Love and hugs for all
Saba

Evening Sue
I have not had the pleasure of watching the video yet but I know it is going to be pure delightful viewing because the card is amazing x
You are so brilliant at showing us how to think outside the box and use your dies in so many ways. Your imagination is amazing. Have you ever thought about writing a novel? With your imagination it would be a bestseller I'm sure. I would like a signed copy if you do please x
Much later this evening than planned. My mum in law came for dinner and Jake was called out to work so she had to wait until he came back to get a lift home. So my earlyish night was not to be x
Pam - haven't got the window dies (yet). Treated myself to cascading butterflies (utterly beautiful), chrysanthemums (stunning), essentials apron and accessories (so much fun) and had to have the nautical themed dies. Extravagant I know but it was my treat to me. So nice to have you back on top form and in the top spot x
June - your afternoon tea sounds very civilised. Do you think you'll be able to behave yourself?
Yvonne - fingers crossed your bungalow will be finished when they say so you can sort out your withdrawal symptoms x
Elaine - fingers crossed for Andrew - hope everything goes according to plan x
Helen - I'm a stroker as well x
Johanna - no need for your apology x
Gloria - Sophie Anna - beautiful name x
Myra - worse than Maureen? There really is no hope x
Laine - stop filling the newbies heads with rubbish about me. I am sure people are capable of making up their own minds up about who the troublemaker is between you and I? All I am saying is it isn't me!! I'll speak to you tomorrow young lady x
Saba - make sure you save some of that energy for your meet up with the gang x
Tina and Tina - thinking of you both x
Ok folks - sending you all happy thoughts and lots of love - especially all my lovely blog besties - you know who you are x
Take care
Crafty hugs

Hello Sue and all
Can't wait to watch this video when the internet decides to behave itself. I am changing over on Friday to another provider and hope for much better service. Having to use my phone at the moment. Love this card and have ordered the striplet- there is so much to do with it and it is just so elegant.
Hugs
