You're So Sweet

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's offering is white, blush card and dusty rose card (the last one from my stash).  I embossed a piece of blush card with the Butterfly Dreams embossing folder.  Next I cut two of the Romantic Edger in white and backed them with the dusty rose card and glued them to the sides of the card.  I split a double strip of white pearls and added them to each side of the card.  For the focal element, I cut the Seychelles die out of white card.  I backed it with dusty rose card.  I  cut the Maldives die in white and cut it in half and seated each piece on the top and bottom of the backed die to add some detail.  I stamped my sentiment and cut a rose frame for it using the smaller die in the Seychelles set.  I cut the butterfly from the centre of the Butterfly Frame, glittered it and added it to the upper corner.  I completed the card with white and rose mats.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7 3/4" in size.

The winners of this week's comment game are:

Dawn Searle!!!
Jennie-The Crafty Wife!!!
Dragonsnap 2!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now,Sue x

Such a beautiful card Sue, love it.
Well done winners.
I did post yesterday, mine was 2nd after Nancy's but seems to have disappeared after being on there for a while, strange. I was delighted with the tip for the stamens, solves my problem with them.
I want to thank Barbuepinkfairy for her support, that and Lorraine's post summed it up for me. We do not disrespect Sues work, that always comes first and our support for each other dies not denigrate that because of a lengthier post. Pkease lets just live and let live and get back to a happier blog.
My daily hugs and thoughts to Elaine and Andrew, Tina and Peter, NannaTina, Yvonne and her parents, (I would like to know how they are) and all friends, issuing ones too. I care about you all.

Such a pretty card, Sue, shame you've used the last of your blush card. (Have found some similar in a multi-pack but can't say where as obviously not CE, lol.) Lovely colours and really girly today.
Pam, was sure that I'd seen your comment yesterday then thought I was having delusions as it had disappeared - so thankfully not a senior moment for once!
Yes, lets get back to happy days, Sue specifically asked for a more 'uplifting' blog, no mention of irrelevance or length of comments. Can imagine that this most generous of ladies is fairly distressed by all the hoo-ha.
Laine, well said, and all good wishes to your best bestie when you speak to her.
barbiepinkfairy - do remember when you used to contribute regularly - but surely no harm in leaving a message for Sue whilst not getting involved.
Well done to the three comment winners.
Hugs all round, especially for our worried friends.

Hi Sue. A lovely romantic card today, I love the dusty rose colour. Not sure whether it is the way the colour of the card comes across, but for me it needs a bit of definition somewhere such as a black layer or two to go with the black stamped sentiment. What do you think?

My tip for the day: Do you have a score board and cannot find your scorer, or bone folder - well I cut a small square of Velcro's and stuck one side to the board and the other to the bone folder, I then always know where it is. Happy crafting.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue!

Everyone's treasuring their last sheet of dusty rose seemed incredible until I remembered how nostalgic I feel for the ream of a very useful green my friends and I had shared. It was a humble green, a little on the olive side, but it always seemed just right. Pinks are so hard to get right. Either they're too peach or too purple.
If anybody else was as confused as me, looking for how Sue had turned the Seychelles to cut in half for the detail at top and bottom, I think it isn't Seychelles but Maldives. Just shows how well the designs blend together. Now I have to go see if I have both.
It may be the shadows but for a moment I thought you had removed some of the pearls in the border to make a pattern. That might be interesting.
May we all wrap ourselves in the warmth of a quiet Sunday at home and breathe in some relaxation.
Love,
Donita

To My Wonderful Dear Friend Sue,
Today's Card Is Just Extremely Beautiful I Love The Colour Combination Of
Coconut White/Dusty Rose, I Love The Striking Detail Of "The Butterfly Dreams" Embossing Folder
Showing So Much Detail.
Using Your Outstanding "Romantic Edger" A Very Stunning Die, Then A Huge Favourite Die
Of Mine "The Seychelles Die" (Just As Beautiful As The Place) I Really Love How You've Cut It Out
Twice In Coconut White And Once In Dusty Rose, Backing One Of The White Cut Outs With The Dusky Rose
So Extremely Elegant, Then Cutting The Other One Which You Cut Out In The Coconut White Cutting That
In Half, Placing One Half To The Top And One To The Bottom, I Really Love It When You Make Dies Look So Very
Different By Cutting Them Back Here And There, Fabulous Sentiment "Right Back To You"
I Have A Small Amount Of The Dusty Pink Card So Today I Will Try This Card, But Wisteria Card Would Look
Beautiful Also, I Haven't Got "The Heart Edger" But I Have Others Of Yours So I Will Incorporate One Of Those.
Sue Thank You For Sharing "Today's First Class Masterpiece" Thank You For The Photographs And Great
Breakdown Which Shows In Wonderful Detail How You've Put Together "Today's Extremely Exquisite, Very Elegant Card"
Thank You For The Daily Inspiration I Truly Appreciate Everything You Do.

Hi Sue,
A lovely card, and I join the lament of the other ladies with regard to the dusky pink. Never know why CE discontinued this......
I know what Donita means about the pattern in the border, I think you maybe moved the pearl at the bottom of the hearts on one side - I prefer that to the unbroken strip of pearls.
What eagle eyed ladies you have, Sue, on your blog.

Hello Sue,
This is a lovely card and I really like the heart edger Dies. Yes we all love/ loved the blush pink! I still have lots as because I really loved it I kept stocking up!! If anyone finds it difficult to get CE card , as has been said Joanna Sheen or our Julia Watts at Inky Finger Zone!
There is a bit of a problem now with Pinning , in that if you press Pin, instead of getting a selection of cards you get CE Videos etc. However if you click on the actual photo on Sue's blog a series of options will come up on your screen. If you choose Share you will then be given the option of Pinterest among other things! I hope this helps. I hope it's clear . If not I'm left handed! That'll be the problem!! Lol!
I'm no technophobe! Ask my friend Saba/ Barbara!!!
Pam I'm so glad you posted yesterday and today! We need you my dear! Well, I know I do!!
Thank you Laine - I totally agree!
Barbiepinkfairy - I've asked a few times about you! Miss you!
PP - if you meet Maureen , may I come too!! ? Kidding - too far away! However she is a lovely lady and will help you in any way she can!
She has just fainted!
Love to you and Mum and Dad !
The day we stop caring for each other will be a sad one . We just need to be more circumspect perhaps in the words we use!
Love to all the lovely ladies on this blog!
Sue, love to you especially and many thanks!

Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Well flower unfortunately i don't have any of these dies to make this card but that's fine as i was a tiny bit bad and just bought the double pierced ovals a and b. I am so looking forward to playing with these when hubby goes back to work and when i get up enough strength to have a play as i seem to have been run over i think by the number 57 bus, so i'm a tad tired and sore the now but it will get better. Thank you flower for such a lovely card and well done to all this weeks lucky winners of the comment game and the wednesday giveaway.
