You're So Sweet

Hi bloggers!  A very soft blush and milk card combo for today's card.  I started by embossing the background with the Bed Of Roses embossing folder on blush card.  I cut two of the Canadian borders out of milk card and glued them to the left and right sides of the card.  Next I used the Ornate Pierced Design Nobles to cut a frame.  I cut a thick milk frame and a thin blush frame and glued them together to form one frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and added it to the centre of my card.  I used the Lisbon die to cut a smaller frame, using the decorative piece and the surrounding cutting edges.  I backed it with milk card for a tonal look.  I added mounting foam to the back of it as well.  I cut the inside decorative die from the Porto set out of milk card and placed my frame over it, trimming away the excess card.  Finally I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the circle die in the Porto set, inking it lightly with Antique Linen.  I used the die to trace around to cut a faux mat for it out of blush card.  I matted both pieces and added them to the centre of the card.  I used both sets of the Perfect Peonies to create several of the two tone (blush and milk coloured) flowers.  I added a few Mosaic leaves around them and finished the flowers with cream pearls.  I cut a milk mat, a thin blush mat and another milk mat to finish the card.  Using the Ivory PVA glue, I added dots around the inside milk mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.

So sorry about the spelling mistake in the sentiment on this morning's card.  I have found the original card and changed out the sentiment!  I can't believe that it slipped through unnoticed as those things usually jump right out at me!!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue
What a beautiful way to start the week.
I love your noble dies. They do everything you ask of them and give the most
elegant of finishes.
Your colours for today's gift are so soft and gentle and I can see many occasions this gift would be perfect.

We had a good morning visiting a local village for their Brocante and even managed to spend some money! All of 9euros!! We bought for that large amount one large rug and one garden rake. You can say that we're not in the set of Big Spenders. lol.

Today is a crafting day for me. I have some cutting and embossing to do and I'm sure that will take all day. (of course it will).

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Before joining your blog I tended to either put gold with cream or a deeper contrasting colour but now, thanks to you, I'm much more adventurous. The flowers are gorgeous, the frames are perfect and the embossing finishes it off.

Hi Sue

Super pretty, feminine card... wouldn't look out of place sat on top of a lace doily on an antique dresser (sorry, that's just how my mind works! ) the colours and those amazing (not yet mine) new noble dies, absolutely beautiful. I just had a Particraft binge, catching up on comments and the wonderful cards I missed since Friday. I got about 15 mins so I will try to get my thoughts out in something close to making sense.

Maureen Killen, thinking of you. Sending hugs, condolences and a hand to hold. Hope you're ok xxx

Saba, thank you for thinking of me on Friday. I got to see your comment when I was somewhere on the M11 south of Stanstead. Signal not good enough to comment at the time but it meant a lot, hugs x

Congratulations to all the weekends winners x

We got in and out of London OK Friday, I don't mind being in the scanner but wish they are a bit more comfortable. Thankfully is was a 20 minute one so I didn't seize up too much! Still a bit tired but not too bad.

That's my 15 mins up, a trip to the supermarket when Mr W gets in so I must start getting prepared. A great many hugs to all of you with plenty spare if they're needed.

Good afternoon Sue and fab Wilsonettes,

What a stunning card to begin the week with, it is beautiful regardless of any minor spelling mistake. I particularly like the background Bed of Roses EF with the addition of the border die on either side. The colour combination is a very feminine touch and what can be said about the Noble dies other than they are a necessity. Even though I have past flower die sets I really need the peonies, they add a lovely dimension to a card.
I've had a long day thus far with housework, shopping, coffee with friend, more housework......the list goes on! Wanted to get some crafting done but best laid plans....life can often get in the way.
June, well done to your son for conpleting his bike ride, you must be very proud of his efforts.
Hope you are all having a nice day and experiencing some sunshine between the torrential downpours.....or is that just in Scotland?:-(

Loads of love and crafty hugs,

Hi Sue and lovely ladies,
so sorry not been able to comment for a few days, I don't get that much me time and seems I've only been able to get online every 2 or 3 days just recently. Sometimes I can't believe it when I do get online and realise I've missed commenting on 3 cards, shocking! Where does the time go? Though I have manages to finish 1 card I've just been making. Wish I had more time to craft (& blog lol).
I have loved all the cards from the last few days. I see the Noble dies have had an outing or 2, I have to say the more oval shaped ones are my favorites, so pretty. The colour combos have been gorgeous and I really like the new wisteria colour.
Congratulations to all the lucky winners from last week, whatever you won enjoy! Frances (fluffycat)it was lovely to see your name on the comment game winners list.
