Fabulous Day

Hi crafters!  Today's offering shows the Portuguese Background done in a slightly different manner.  I started by cutting the outside of the background die in white, leaving a wide border around it.  I backed it with Sky Blue card and added mounting foam to the back of it to raise it for dimension.  I cut two of the inner die from the Portuguese Background die set out of white card and crisscrossed them, then set them on an angel with mounting foam.  I stamped my sentiment using a Black Archival ink pad on coconut white card, then cut a frame from the Lisbon die set out of Sky Blue card.  I backed it in white.  I cut two of the Portuguese tags in white and added the to the sides of the tag so they were peeking out the edge, but just framing the sentiment on the inside. I centred my sentiment inside the tag edges on the frame then attached the frame and trimmed away the excess card around the bottom of the frame.   I added the frame to the centre of the card with a few white flatback pearls to embellish.   I added a set of  white and blue mats then finished with a pierced mat, thin blue mat layer and a final white mat. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue
What a delightful way to start the week.
A truly beautiful gift in one of my very favourite colour palettes. Blue/white can never be wrong for me and in every shade of blue.
Once again your beautiful dies do all the work just as you want them to do when you are designing them.
I particularly love the middle format of today's gift and one I have tagged for my 'must do' file.

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue & Lovely Wilsonettes

I think it goes without saying dearest Sue that each card that I have missed of late is as beautiful & as stunning as the next, sorry 'P' in Wales, I had virtually run out of characters yesterday but wanted to let you all know why I was MIA & that I hadn't abandoned you Sue & your lovely family of Wilsonettes. Deep down in your heart Sue you know that I would love to own every cutting die that you design simply because each & every one, even to the smallest, gives such effective & perfectly stunning results & it also goes without saying that I would be happy to make every card that you make & pass it on knowing that the recipient would be ecstatically happy with their gift.

Todays card is no exception, & for me Sam says it all...your ideas & inspirations which you so selflessly share with us are beyond any words of gratitude that I am able to suitably convey. When I get the dreaded card making block from my brain then I only have to turn to your fabulous blog, look through your dazzling & as always strikingly beautiful cards & one inspiration passed on from yourself Sue inspires another for me. I have only been with your Blog a short while, compared to many others but my husband has said that already I have made the best cards he has ever seen...what better compliment could you receive. x x x

Ladies...your welcome back, well wishes & hugs have brought tears to my eyes I cant believe that I have been missed as much as I have missed you all, what wonderful crafters we have as our friends Sue.

Needless to say I read every single comment & I care about you all but special mention must please go to the following

(Sandy H, Lynda’s Craft, Meg, Magpie......hugs to your friend’s dog, I know how she feels, Deb Curtis,Lorraine Eastwood, Maria Alder, Fluffycat, Dianne, Theresa, Alimecca....seems to me that there are a lot of so called animal lovers out there who obviously lack a conscience, when I used to breed Border Collies (through the Kennel Club & only occasionally) I was fabulous at this & helped Dam to raise happy well adjusted puppies & I often had my puppies back for holidays & their companions aswel be they birds, cats or dogs, & I always treated them in my home as caringly & lovingly as my own pets...it takes a lot to build a good reputation for yourself but then it takes even less to ruin a reputation too...so (((((cuddles to Scamp))))) & also to all our much loved & trusting pets...... Janet Hampson, June Reynolds....have a wonderful time with your Daughter & grandchildren staying, ‘P’ in Wales, Patwyn, Yvonne G, Heather T, Muriel Kelly) Thank you so much my friends, showing you care simply means the world to me & of course to our lovely girls who of course send all the kisses & cuddles back to you all & your lovely pet companions. x x x

Wishing you (((((hugs))))) & a wonderful day Sue & the same to family Wilsonettes(PS at the demo I saw some really beautiful Xmas cards that Sue had made & to say that you are in for many more fantastic treats is an understatement, they will surely make you gasp with delight).

Take care everyone...love & (((((hugs)))) Beth B x x x

Good Morning Sue and lovely crafters,
Beautiful card today Sue. I do love the blue and white combo, there's something very peaceful about it, looking at this card is like taking a big breath of fresh air. On first glance I'm thinking now how did Sue do that? Coming up with the ideas is the hard part which you're amazing at Sue, it's easy when you know how so thank you so very much for sharing all you ideas, inspiration and how-to's.
Thank you Lynda for your kind words, it really puts a smile on my face hearing that another crafter likes my cards. I just had another look at your board, can't take everything in first time lol, and just spotted another gorgeous card, a fire and ice, beautiful! I'm loving that we can all share with one another, thank you so much for sharing your work with me.
Beth, I hope your girls recover quickly from their ordeal. We have got my brother-in-law to look after our Suzie while we're away but it's still a wrench. She's a little rescue JRT and unfortunately has been affected by her past before we got her. So a combination of being a terrier and a rescue dog means she has difficilties with other dogs but is very loving with us and part of our family. She also needs company and the thought of her being treated badly or neglected(again) is unbearable so I know exactly where your coming from.
To all my other blog friends, sending hugs.
"Have a truly fabulous day!" everyone, blessings - Deb C xx

Good afternoon Sue and lovely Wilsonettes,

i must admit that i am struggling to think of any new superlatives for this beautiful, intricate card since most of them have been said already! Your genius is unsurpassed and we are just so very fortunate to benefit from your unique vision, my own cards have never been better thanks to the inspiration i get on a daily basis from you. i wish that i knew where you get your ideas from because you never fail to surprise us with your designs.
i am beyond excited about your shows, 3 days and counting, that i am bound to spontaneously combust before they are aired so roll on thursday...please!
I've had such a busy day doing boring housework type stuff so no crafting as yet, hopefully I'll fit some in later-it really helps me to wind down again.
It's an abysmally soggy day in Stirling again, we've had a grand total of 4 days of real summer so far and as much as i love my country i would quite gratefully escape to sunnier climes right now:-)
Have a lovely evening everyone whatever you may be doing.

Need all the help I can get! I have to mention yesterday's card as it was just amazing! Such a clever idea & so so pretty.

Beth, glad your back- you've really been through it! I can't believe how badly the dog sitters behaved, disgusted by that and I hope your fingers heal asap most of all I'm glad your fur baby is responding to treatment, Billy sends wags & woofs xxx

Maureen, nice to see you posted today. Hope your ok, hugs xxx

Maria, I'm good, thank you, hugs xxx

Apologies for being missing. Mr W took me in town Saturday as he is giving up cigarettes and going to an e cigarette (am so happy about this- have wished he'd give up since I did but he's not a man you can nag). He wanted to get advice and buy one, the shop was first floor, no lift, so I said "it's ok, leave me in the fabric shop and when I'm done there I'll go to the yarn shop a couple of doors down" The perfect situation! Brought some fabric and some lovely alpaca yarn in the sale to make my mum a shawl for Christmas. He came back for me and we went to grab some other bits before coffee and cake. If only we'd had time to do the craft shol and it would have been extra perfect. Fell asleep about 20 minutes after getting home! A bit sleepy Sunday. Finally got my 'self' together and cut the fabric ready to sew up a bandana for Billy hopefully tomorrow then I can clear the table of sewing stuff and make some cards. Oh, and found time to take advantage of a 20% off voucher for an online shop and brought the snowflake deboss and corner/ border/ tag dies. A pretty good weekend in my book but it meant I couldn't find time to comment. Hope I made up for that today & hopefully back on schedule tomorrow.

Sending hugs and happiness to Sue & all the Wilsonettes, wishing you all good things.
