Hello my crafty friends! Today's video card is a very different one for me, but you just have to try something new once in awhile, don't you? It is a fun technique that I think would work a treat for cards for men or even teenagers (which can be even more difficult sometimes to come up with ideas for than male cards! LOL)

Hi Sue... Hmmmmmmm, dont know ! Video is refusing to load at the moment so maybe when Ive managed to watch it, it will help me decide. Maybe it's because it IS so different from our 'usual' stunning Sue card that its thrown me.
Either way if you had fun doing it, that's all that matters, and your inspiration of playing outside the box will have helped someone's mojo today.
Sending love and hugs to you Sue.

Morning Sue
What a different and very interesting Gift from you today.
I will definitely be having a play with this pattern and different colours too. I already have a thought about doing different plaques for different genders and ages so will see what develops as they say.
Wheely Bad - so nice to see you again and I'm so sorry that you're having a torrid time. Try and stay calm. All will be well in the end.
Well the Weather Office said that yesterday was officially the first day of Summer. It may have been in their world but in mine it definitely was not. I had the heating on all day and we had torrential rain last evening & through the night so I'm hoping today will be better afterall we are now into half way through the year. Where has that gone?
To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

I made a card for my son on his 50th birthday in April using this technique but I had to glue the strips which was quite messy. Many thanks for your tip of using double sided adhesive sheets and I will be using these when I make another card. These look so attractive. I used a paper pad to select papers as I found that when using these pads all the papers compliment each other. This is my tip to other crafters.XXX

Morning sue, not sure about this one for me but very good technique and love the colours yvonne xxt
Hi Sue again !
Yep, as I thought would happen, your video tutorial has changed my unsure mind. Wasn't so sure before I watched it, but it really has that different wow factor. I dont think the photo does it justice but your video certainly does. Its another "yes" from Lancashire Steph xxx
Hi Sue, a beautiful card. Love the contrast between the stamping and embossing.
Hi Sue. Just watched the video and what a fantastic idea for those annoying oddments of card that we all get. Would certainly be great for a male card in different colours. Love the colours of today's card though (pink is always a winner with me). Have a great day. xx

Good morning Sue,
Brilliant video with great tips. I am going to go right now and get out everything I need to make this card, I love it and my head is buzzing with ideas. The hardest part for me will be deciding which colours, contrasting or toning, brights or muted, patterned or plain or 60's psychedelic.
It could take me a while Lol.
Wheely Bad, hope you have a better week than last week and gentle hugs for you and Mr.W as well. Xxxx

Hello Sue, and all the ladies.
I love this, psychedelic for the teenagers, browns etc for the men, but best of all - Yellows and white with flowers for Easter. It's also a great idea for using those odd sheets of card or paper up. The video explains it so well, thank you.

Hi Sue
Having problems loading the video so going to try again in a minute but thought I would just say wow! Love the way you challenge our comfy brains and make us think a bit. This is lovely and bright but do you know I thought of a bright yellow instead of pink and a vintage car stamp for a great male card straight away. That's what blogs are for isn't it Sue, giving us ideas to work with and whilst a post may not be to everyone's taste that's fine because that's what it's all about - individuality. I love the way you surprise us every day so thank you for sharing. Now let's go and see if it loads!
Have a great day

Hello Sue
As you say your card today is very different to your usual style but I really love it. I can see so many different colour combinations to create this in with different embellishments and small dies. Todays' colour combination is very striking and I really can't wait to have a go at this great technique.

Hello Sue and all
Lovely card. What a great way to use oddments, as you say would be great for a man's or teen's card. I really like the way you have made your die cut and what a genius idea to use a final die cut for the matt top (inspired). Thank you for sharing.
Also thank you for the hi/low video, it does make the technique easier to follow.

Hi Sue,
I watched this great video this morning and then got distracted before I could comment - only just remembered!
I loved the card as soon as I saw it! You are brilliant at coming up with paper piecing techniques! The video is full of hints and tips and I can't wait to try this one out! I also love the colours but can think of others to try too! Also thinking of other plaques - even making them with your Just a Note or even Let it Snow! Can you tell I like it?
Must go , but many many thanks!

Good afternoon Sue
I thoroughly enjoyed your video for todays card tutorial. Its a brilliant idea as you say, to use up your odd scraps of card on the sun rays. I especially liked your tip on disguising the heart with another die cut layer over the top.
The finished card looks stunning, I'll have to try making a card like this.
Regards
Joan from Newcastle
What a wonderful way to use up our scraps! Something I have plenty of!!! A lovely colour combo that has given the card a modern look. Must have a go myself, thank you for the great idea.x
Great looking sunburst card...I like the colors you used to make this card...
You did a wonderful job
Well done Sue
Great video. You make everything you do look so easy. The sun rays give the look/feel of motion and draw one's eye straight to the central design. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Sue,
thank you for a very new and great idea with this "sun-card". I will definitely do a card like yours.
But I would choose other colours.

Hi Sue, a very different card today, which is never a bad thing. You don't know what you can do until you try. I wasn't too sure about this design at first, will have to try it in different colours and maybe a different focal element and see how that looks. Love and hugs,
Alison D x
Lovely! Very 'usable' technique I think.
Love this card Sue. Can see it in Black, white bad red and all sorts of colours, even rainbow colours. Must get all my scaps out. Just done a card with the weaving dies and all the scaps I had left from another project and using the Noble dies to frame it. Excellent video. Thank you.
Hi Sue
Very striking, different but a great scrap buster! I only have a Christmas sentiment but thought a nesting die with a stamped picture and/or sentiment might work too. In the book to try another time, I think.
Wow, it has been so windy. Billy hates going out in the wind. Last night it was banging the windows and all sorts. Much calmer now I'm pleased to report!
Any other football fans out that will be as happy as I am today!
Hugs and thanks from both of us to Angela in S. Wales, Alimecca, Maria, Janet Ecco and Saba, I have rested well today and will pack my 'day out' bag tonight ready to go to see the specialist tomorrow. My lovely brother is getting here early to make sure I'm ready and got all the bits I need as welk as to raid my kitchen (lol). At least 3G is fast enough that I can check on the blog while on my travels tomorrow. Will take about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to get there and park up, possibly longer so I allow for 3 hours. Getting home is longer as I get out of the hospital in time for the school run traffic then by the time you hit the M25 it's rush hour! I used to do the drive myself so know the timings all too well. The time will fly once Dan and I start talking music though so we won't be bored. The day and travel do take a bit of getting over though!
With that I will love and leave you all, big hugs to all of you, I have plenty extra if you need them. Wishing you all crafty happiness,
T x
Must admit I wasn't too keen on this card from the photo but after watching the video I really like it!

Hi Sue. WOW !! This is a very different card for you !! I loved the video. It is so lovely to actually be able to see you doing a particular technique. Personally I feel like I learn much better that way. This is a lovely technique and it does not look as complicated as I first thought it was. I think it would look great using various other colour combos and textures to. As others have said, I to, think it would make a great mans card. I also really love the way you have glazed the "love" die and then added the extra black outer die over the top. It has created such a lovely effect. I will definitely be using this technique.
