Hello everyone! How about a pinwheel sort of card for today's card giveaway? This was a demo I did back in Feb. but in case you didn't see it, here's a quick rundown. I started by embossing periwinkle card using the Leafy Quad embossing folder. I did it twice with two different sized squares so I was able to layer them up for a bit of interest. I matted each piece with a thin black mat to frame it. For the focal element, I cut four of the centre die from the Times Square out of coconut white card. I cut four more out of black card. I cut eight squares to back them with, all out of white card and glued them all together. The four white on white pieces became the "square" part of the pinwheel while the black on white pieces became the "diamond" part of the pinwheel. By inserting each piece but keeping the same orientation, you end up with a pretty pinwheel look to your card. I recommend doing this with glue dots first then after getting all the pieces in place, use glue under the edges to secure them. That was it allows you a bit of wiggle room until you are happy that they are all straight and how you want them (well it works for me that way at least! LOL) Next I stamped my sentiment and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet. I coated it with Diamond Snow for a bit of bling. I cut the centre die from the Madison Square set in white and glued it over the sentiment I cut a thin black mat for it as well and mounted it with foam in the centre of my pinwheel. Finally, I added five small Camellias in periwinkle with black pearl centre around my sentiment. The card was then completed with a white pierced mat, a thin periwinkle and a thin black mat and a last white mat layer. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment. The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Lovely card Sue, love those flowers.
Have a good all.
Another Stunner Sue. Somebody is going to be very happy when it arrives on their door step.
Love the pin wheel effect!
Mmmm sorry, Sue, wouldn't ever be a favourite but nevertheless clever design and, as always, ideas to inspire. Not drawn to the geometric look, just prefer your more ornate softer cards. And flowers. And stick pins. And gorgeous embellishments.

Hi Sue
This is very different - not exactly my style, but clever none the less

Interesting card Sue, love the periwinkle.
Lovely card again Sue, I like geometric, unfussy cards, and blue and white works for me every time!
Certainly very different - nice colours and makes a very bold statement !

Morning Sue, a very different card today, don't think it is amongst one of my favourites, but nice all the same. Love Jean xxx
Hi Sue. Stunning - I like how you have made the pinwheel and periwinkle blue is always a winner for me. Sue xxx
Hi Sue & good morning Wilsonettes...wow who wouldn't have the desire to be the luckiest & proudest owner of this card...the lucky winner will certainly be blown away to owning this little beauty...& beauty it is because when I saw this card, technique, being demonstrated even then I was in complete awe, not just of the card but of the breath-taking idea that you came up with Sue with regards to the Pinwheel effect...
I'm sure that like me many Wilsonettes have had similar ideas to this but just never got around to putting the idea into practise, simply because we didn't think that it could work...so Thank you Sue for showing us that anything is possible and often it is true when (looking for designing ideas etc) that the "first thought is usually the best thought"...
Thank you sincerely Sue...have a great day & hope you're loving your family time. Hugs & blessings to you & yours.
Not forgetting the Wilsonettes...more hugs & smiles sent your way & congratulations to anyone who has something to celebrate...take care...love Beth B x x x
Morning Sue.
Wow what a stunner, I remember you demoing this or was it a video, anyway it is lovely. Take care have a good day. Kitty.
Good morning Sue,

These always look complicated but sound achievable. Would love to see it properly!
Wow, just stunning
Hi Sue. You are clever. I love the way you make our brain think its something it isn't (if you get my meaning) that's why you have a degree. At first it really looks like a pinwheel, but take a closer look (your close up shots are brilliant by the way) and you see the pinwheel is made up of square's, how brilliant.
Its not an all time favourite of mine, but you wouldn't be who you are if you didn't cater for everyone's taste. Thank you for widening our idea's and the inspiration you give us everyday here, you are the crafting queen, there is NO ONE out there that can come close to your talant or knowledge of what works, or genuine friendship and generosity, so thank you.
Have a lovely day Sue.
A warm welcome to any new followers that visit today.
Sending love to those Wilsonettes that dont feel so good today, hoping tomorrow will be kinder to you.

Good morning Sue, what a gorgeous card.
You call it a pinwheel, I see a kaleidoscope. See how we all see different things? I watched your demo earlier of this one and was very impressed yet again of your imagination. No wonder we all call you our No1 blog Lady.
I am so over the moon to announce I am a first time Great Grandmother. The wonderful gift of God's blessing ensured the safe arrival of Milly-May at 11.35pm last night.
Lucy & Joshua are so delighted at becoming the proud parents of a beautiful daughter.
To all in discomfort and pain, I leave a basket full of lovely, warm, fuzzy hugs to comfort you.
love & hugs

Morning Sue,
I remember this card being demoed, very intricate. I don't think I would have the patience to make this.
Hope you are having a great time with your mum.

Morning Sue
Today's gift is a lovely challenge for the eyes. lol
You have to look more than once to see how the tiny squares fit together and so it gives you a little mystery. I love your colour palette and once again this format could be used for many occasions even those pesky men in our lives who we have to cater for sometimes.
I still haven't tried to do a pin wheel but it's on my list of ever growing crafty things I have to do inspired by your daily dose of 'crafting medicine' which is better than anything else.
Knit and Natter was a good afternoon. We were small in number this time as one or two of our ladies were off jaunting. The card was a very very simple one so it was completed very quickly and so we had time to catch up on everyone's gossip.
To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Janet x
What a lovely idea, its looks amazing. You must never switch off Sue to come up with so many fabulous ideas!
Lovely card love the pin wheel effect xx hazel
Good morning sue what a stunning card I love what you have done with the dies and your design is wonderful.
Debs A xxx
Hi Sue
Oh I like it when you throw us a curve ball and make us all think outside the box! Yes I love today's card, it is different to your usual but just shows us how versatile your dies are. I love the colour combination you have used, but with a less flowery embossing folder this would easily convert to a pesky male card wouldn't it. Thank you for sharing it with us and yes I agree with Steph your close up photos are excellent. Take care.
Love Diane G xxxx
Morning Sue - I love this approach. It is equally good for male and female cards and as a backdrop for any sentiment. Love this colour combination too.
Take care

Morning Sue, Embossing more than one background square really gives this card dimension. I like the blue as it is my favourite colour. A lovely card to start the day but no crafting for me as I'm still battling with the dandelions at the bottom of the garden. Enjoy your day. Hugs xx Pauline A
I love this card and remember you doing it. Would it be possible to cut the windmill pieces from card covered with a double sided sticky sheet and then using diamond snow on them? Possible or not this is a lovely card. Thank you Sue. Xx

I can see I will have to get my embossed card out (I don't have an A4 machine, just a little cuttlebug) - might use the quilt striplet die instead. Thanks for the idea.

This is very different but beautiful. Stunning in my favourite blue. x
Morning Sue, gosh this is a bit different, would make a great card for a man, but perhaps without the flowers

Hi Sue,
I just love this card! I love the design and the colours you have used and the dies . Right down to the dinky little flowers - they just soften the angular design! You are such a clever girl! I will be trying this one but it is on a List - I'm not getting down the list very quickly - too easily distracted!
Julie Laz - Hi! If you go on Pinterest and type either Sue Wilson or Particraft you will get loads and loads of Sue's cards all in one place!
More people re pin my Sue Cards than any others! Now that's no surprise to us! Hope it helps.
Have a good day everyone!
Lots of love,

Hi Sue,this is a striking card, the colours make the angles clear and bold, ideal for the male element in card making. x

Great card with a beautiful colour combination. It is so difficult deciding which of your dies to buy.
Wow...what a stunning and unique card!!! I love everything about it...the design, the colors, the dies, the embossing folder, the flowers are all gorgeous!
What a very intriguing card, it's quite stunning.
Good morning Sue, I know I'm late had trouble with the doomsday that you use to send this. I really have no idea what I'm doing!!! I'm rambling anyway back to the card. You have to cater for all taste and you love some not so much but it's great looking to see what gems you are going to give us everyday. Good luck everyone. Congrats to Cheryl on becoming a Great grandma. Loopy Lynda xxx
That's supposed to say Doo Dab!!!
Interesting but not entirely sure I would try this.
Very nice! I love the color, the interesting use of the dies, and of course the sparkle. Very nice indeed.
Your cards are awesome! I'd have difficulty choosing a favorite one as they are all so lovely.
Hi Sue
what a stunning card. Love the symmetry and the colours you have used. The black matting really gives the layers definition and the camellias softens the whole look. Definitely one to try. Thank you.
JULIE LAZ, as Myra said, Pinterest is a great way to see what other crafters have made using Sue's fabulous dies and her inspiration. By far the most of my pins which are re-pinned are Sue's or based on Sue's.
And if you do upload a picture of your cards which are based on her designs or using her dies, it is helpful if you mention her name, the name of the die or particraft in the title so that anyone else searching for her will find them.
CHERYL, many congratulations on the safe arrival of Milly May, and may her life be filled with love, health and happiness always.
Love and hugs

Beautiful card. I am making cards for our "Relay for Life" for cancer survivors benefit. I needed one more idea and this is "just what the doctor ordered" to finish my basket of cards. I have made a basket of cards for our "Relay" for the past 5 years. I have been cancer free for 5 years now, so this is an important event/fund raiser for me. Love to be chosen to receive this card.
