You're So Special

Good Sunday morning all!  I decided to have a little play with my Lyra die here to see if I could use the swirly bits as holding hands for my sentiment strip.  I think it worked a treat!  I used the decorative insert without the cutting edges three times in the centre of a piece of coconut white card.  I flipped the centre one to add a bit of randomness to it.  I mounted this piece over another piece of coconut white card that I added a sticky self adhesive sheet to and glittered with Iced Snow.  I stamped my sentiment on to a piece of blush card using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it in white and used some Tattered Rose distress ink along the edge to highlight the white embossing a bit.  I added white dots along the edges top and bottom with a white gel pen.  I slide the sentiment in diagonally through a few of the swirly bits of the Lyra cut out.  I trimmed the edges straight on the sides and added a drop of glue to secure it.  I made a pretty Camellia flower out of white card and edges it with Tattered Rose before sugaring it with Iced Snow.  I tucked some Mosaic Leaves in around it and tied a bow out of pink Bakers Twine and added it as well.  I completed the card with a paper pierced edge, a thin blush mat and another wider white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

Now for the weekly comment game winners.  This week's winners are:

Granny Sue!!!
Pam B!!!
Serene Polly!!!

For the extra qualifying post of Wed. April 22nd, the winners are:

Sunday Smiles to you and your mom Sue and to all Wilsonettes. Thanks for the touch of sun you have sent Sue, just a little warmer and all would be perfect for market today, wish me luck, someone has a new collection out soon and I need to try and catch up with the very first collection lol.
Pretty, girly and delicate and very clever. I do try to see my dies in a different light, but unlike yourself and our Izzy, my bulb is always blown, so thank you for showing me how.
Hope you have the most wonderful day today and make some 'pool time' and make lots of memories. Hoping any arrangements left for tomorrow all go smoothly.
Sending lots n lots of love to all our friends that are still unwell, hope you all feel better soon.
Have a good Sunday.

A truly superb girly card. Just love it. Hope you have a great visit with your mom Sue. Back to bed as can't shake this cold/cough. Lol lynne m x x x

Hubby in the doghouse as he decided it was a great idea to take poochies over to the park yesterday before he went off to watch football. It didn't occur to him that it had been raining on\off most of the night and the grass in the park hasn't been cut yet!!!. You guessed it the poochies came back looking like drowned disgustingly dirty rats. Hubby then had the complete nerve to say he didn't have time to bathe them or he would be late. I struggled to bathe both the wriggling worms whilst at the same time coughing and eyes watering. My eldest daughter luckily came in and helped finish them off so I could collapse on the settee. When hubby got home I asked him what in the world possessed him to take poochies over the park when he knew he was going out. His response " I would have wiped them off". Told him they were filthy how would wiping them off have worked all I got was shrugged shoulders. Men!!!!!!.

Lol and hugs to all my crafty buddies hope you have a good day. To those in pain or need sending you clean hugs from devious divas x x x

Lynne, I'm sure mens' brains are wired differently to ours! They just don't appreciate all the work that goes into keeping a house clean and tidy especially when there are pets around too. You can guarantee that as soon as I get the kitchen floor clean, Dave will come in with muddy boots and when I moan he will just shrug his shoulders and say he's got to come in! Doesn't think to take boots off! Still, where would be be without them ( sane!) ?
Congratulations to the winners, love and hugs to all, Alison xx

What a stunner Sue! Just when I think things can't get better you give us this.

Had a real fun day on Friday - went to local hospital for a scan and when we came back to the car it wouldn't start - lucky we were in the hospital car park 'cause we had loos food and drink nearby. Help came after hubby remembered we had break down insurance and he found card in his wallet with all details. Breakdown van came and just as hubby was describing what had happened and that we hadn't run out of fuel because he'd just filled it up....... have you guessed yet??? Hey ho he'd filled a diesel with unleaded!!! We got home safe after tow truck came for us. Boy was hubby looking sheepish. Thank goodness it wasn't me that had done that. You can all stop laughing now!!!

Hi Sue. Oh WOW !! What a beautiful card today !! The colour combo of blush and coconut white card is so soft and dreamy looking. I love the Lyra Die, and what you have done with it on this card is just GENIOUS !! It is so different but so lovely with parts of the die "holding" on to the sentiment !! A very clever idea !! I love the glitter background showing through the die cut areas and the sentiment, and your Camelia Flower Die is gorgeous Sue !! A truly beautiful WOW card. Thanks for sharing. Sending you lots of love and Best Wishes today Sue from Tres x x x

Sue, you are so very clever with your dies. The banner looks wonderfully sweet treaded through the scrolls of the die cut. The overall card is so delicate and lovely in the soft colors you used. I like the bling peeking out from the underlayer.

This card is so special. Love how soft and delicate it is. The flower is gorgeous, and I probably would not think to put bakers twine on such an elegant card, but it looks fabulous. Love how you used the dies too.

That's gorgeous Sue. I have purchased this set of dies so looking for different ideas on using them.

I don't make my cards as big as yours so this tests my inventiveness a little more!
