Good Sunday morning all! Happy Easter too! I made this card a few years ago and forgot that I had it and hadn't posted it until now. Since it is Easter, I thought I should give it a day on the blog this year! I really like the fact that it is cute, but not over the top at all, very earthy in fact. I used the
Honeycomb embossing folder on some
kraft card to give texture to my background. Next I added a strip of decorative paper from my stash and added a couple of
Becca Feekens Heirloom Flourish one die edges to the bottom before tying a piece of natural jute around it. I stamped my sentiment in blue and cut it by hand into a tag shape and added it to the jute bow. I added some free hand stitching around the edge with a blue ink pen. For the focal element, I cut two sizes of
Gold Labels Four and inked them with
Antique Linen while still in the die. I stamped the
Justrite Easter bunny from the Welcome Spring stamp set in
Cobalt blue archival ink and cut it out with the matching
Nested Cloud die. I stamped the bunny in brown and hand cut it and layered it up with foam in the centre for dimensions. I used a wash of distress ink to paint the bunny and ribbon border. I finished with a double milk mat with a pierced inner layer. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.

I love this stamp set, its not just for Easter, it has so many more elements to it if you have Springtime birthday's to cater for and the sentiments on the set are so uplifting, its well worth buying.
This little bunny is one of many cute stamps, he looks rather crafty if you ask me, I dont think he'll be sharing his egg with anyone ! I hope that whatever your plans are for today you have a lovely day. At least I can get my white chocolate Lindt choccies out of the wardrobe that I've been hiding : ) such a shame that Im the only one that likes white chocolate teehee (dont worry Mr Lancashire has his own box all wrapped up for him to enjoy) I wouldn't be that selfish !! Looking forward to seeing which 'metal egg' I have to unwrap later. Well lets face it, a die will last longer than chocolate and give me much more pleasure, and its a way, the only way to help build up my collection (poor guy gets a bit tired of buying craft goodies for every occassion) but enjoys the happy look on my face when I open it, so for him, its worth it.

I'm with Steph my first thought after "oh cute" was "that bunny's looking furtive. He thinks I'm after his egg" it made me smile.
You can tell it's a very early card as there isn't a SW die in site. I think I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms. Need chocolate to get over it!!

Sue your Easter gift is just beautiful and not only that I can just see it being used for a little one on their birthday. Wouldn't they just love the Bunny.

The card today is fab and I love the stamps so I must see if I can find them to buy them. The card shapes and colours are just right!
My wrist is still in plaster up to my elbow so it will be some time before I can get back into crafting full time, which is very frustrating, but I did manage to adapt a card to my hubby for our 45th wedding anniversary yesterday, which I was delighted with.

Cute little bunny, no SW dies is a bit of a shock but Mr Bunny has waited his turn. One of my best friends is bunny mad so I may have to look for the set. The kraft card works so well with this card too. I like that EF so much too.
