A Giveaway Day!

Hello all!  I think it's time for another card giveaway today so if you like this one and want to be in for a chance to give it a good home, you just need to leave a comment today.  I will draw a winner from all the people who left comments and post the winner during the week.  It's a really simple card, but quite pretty in real life.  I started my embossing the coconut white card using the Creative expressions Lattice folder.  I used the blush pink card for the top part of the background.  Using blush satin ribbon, I wrapped a piece around the card between the two sections and tied a double bow and added it with a sticky dot.  I used a pearl embellishment in the centre of the bow.  Using the smaller dies in the Resplendent Rectangle set, I cut a frame out of white card that was covered with a self adhesive sticky sheet.  I peeled the backing paper off and covered the frame with clear micro beads.  I stamped my sentiment using a black archival ink pad on white card.   On either side of the sentiment, I stamped a small flower from the Justrite Grand Sentiment set using a clear Perfect medium pad.  I heat embossed it with white powder.  Using Spun Sugar distress ink, I lightly inked over the flowers to highlight them.  I added some 3D foam to the back of my frame and placed it over my sentiment, cutting the excess away from beneath the frame.  I glued it to the centre of the top of the card.  To accent the lattice background, I added small flatback pearls to all the intersections of the lattice.  I finished the card by matting it with some blush card, then a double mat of white card with a pierced edge.  Very soft and girly for numerous occasions.   Don't forget the leave a comment today! Finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Sue,

This card is so elegant - as your cards almost always are. I would SO love to see it in person! I love that embossing folder and the way it weaves the lattice. Every time I see one of your cards with the piercing around the edge, I tell myself I should do that - but I seldom remember. It adds so much to a card, as do all the layers that you add. That heat embossing is also a nice touch.

This is so beautiful, simple & fresh looking I just LOVE, love, love it!!
You seem to use that emboss folder a great deal & it appears to be very versatile, I think it must go on my 'to buy' list!.
This card would suit a complete beginner like me, but what are micro beads? you used them to make the 'crispy shiny' frame around 'Thinking of you'.
Thank you again for a wonderful card, so pleased I've found you.
