Beaded Butterflies

Hi bloggers!  White on white in the simplest form today.  I started with the background and cut an aperture using the Resplendent Rectangles.  I then embossed the remaining area using the Creative Expressions Floral embossing folder (still one of my favs!)  Since the background is larger than the folder, I had to do half, then move it and do the other half.  It is very easy to do with matching patterns.  I wanted to add a bit of a frame around my aperture so I cut the larger die size in the rectangle set and glued it around my opening.  I would have preferred to raise this piece a bit, but there isn't much room to add foam on this one so flat it went.  I stamped my sentiment and matching frame in black on white card.  They are both from the Grand Sentiment set by Justrite stamps.  I added some mounting foam to the back of my embossed background piece and centred it over the sentiment.  Next I stamped two of the pretty butterflies from the Grand sentiment set on white card.  I covered both of them with a small piece of sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut these out by hand, but they do actually match the Wonderful Wings set, I just didn't happen to have it with me in Florida.  They are easily cut.  A little tip is to hold them up to the light and you can easily see through the self adhesive sheet for cutting.  I peeled the backing paper off and micro beaded both of them.  I added a row of 3mm flatback pearls for the bodies to both and glued them in opposite corners, leaving the wings free.  I matted it with white card and pierced the inner layer.  Not an overly fussy card to make and great for just about any occasion you need.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.

Now for my latest brainstorm!  I was thinking that I would do another giveaway.  This time though, I think I will make it a card.  I will pick a couple of dates each month and the particular card posted that day will be the one that I post out.  I will make it amazingly easy, just leave a comment on the blog on that day and I will draw a name from them.  Today will be the first day so if you want a chance to win this card, leave me a comment.
All for now, Sue x

Sue
I love the white on white effect on the card, which is broken up a bit by the effect on the butterflies. A beautiful card - no one can be offended by a white on white card!
