I'm So Happy

Hello crafters!  I know how busy we all are this time of year so thank you for taking the time to pop by the blog if only for a quick visit.  I started today's card by cutting two Canadian borders in white and gluing them down the sides of another piece of coconut white card.  Next I cut the Ornate Pierced Design Noble in white and backed it with Vintage silver card and cut it into a frame.  I used the Lattice Mask on acetate and puled polar white sparkle texture paste through it and allowed it to dry well.  I attached my frame to it and raised it over another piece of silver card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flags die, using a larger one in silver to mat it.  I made two flowers using the Perfect Peony die and edged them in a light silver ink before assembling.  I sugared them with Iced snow after assembling then seated them on white tulle at the end of the sentiment.  I accented the flowers with Dandelion clocks and matching silver stick pins.  The card was then completed with a white pierced mat, a thin silver mat and a final white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Thanks

Hi bloggers!   Need a pretty thank you card?  I think this one will do the trick!  I cut four Petite Arched Adornments in white and two corners from the Elegant Lace Edger die set and glued them in place, funnily enough the adornments in the corners and the corners on the edges!  I cut a Lavish Accented Noble design frame and added mounting foam and secured it in the centre of the card.  I cut the Vertical Thanks in white and cut the individual letters out of black gloss card and glued them behind.  I added it into the centre of the frame and created five flowers to accent the corners.  I stamped the Shaded Peony stamp in black on white card and cut them out with the matching Peony die shapes.  I offset two dies for each flower and topped the centres with small black Dazzlers.  I added Mosaic leaves and Dandelion clocks around as accents.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat, a thin gloss back mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Thinking Of You

Good Sunday morning all!  A card in basic black and white for today, always a favourite combo of mine.  I started by cutting two of the Portuguese Borders in white and gluing them on the sides of another piece of white card.  I inked the Lavish Accented Design Noble with Clear Perfect Medium and letterpressed it on to a piece of black card.  I coated it with clear embossing powder and heated it for a shiny embossed letterpress design.  I cut the Sintra die in white and backed it with black then cut the inside to create a frame.  I used the next die smaller and cut it into the Noble design, leaving a black inner edge to show through the Sintra frame.  I used the inner die from the Sintra and cut it in white, using the smaller die to create a frame as well.  I stamped my sentiment and layered all the die cuts over it so it looked like a recessed framed sentiment.  I added white flatback pearls as accents and completed the card with my usual mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 1/4" in size.
