Good Sunday morning all! I pulled out my
Aurora Flakes for today's card. I started by covering a piece of card with a
sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing off and coated it with
Golden Rose Aurora Flakes and used a piece of rubit scrubit pad to refine and remove the excess flakes. Next, I used the
Double Stitched Rectangle dies set to cut a frame. I used the
Paulette Edger set to cut two outer borders and the middle section out of the Aurora flakes. I also cut the
Many Thanks and five small flowers from the
Blossom Patch set. I cut the
Paulette die out of white card. I glued the three edgers on top of the coordinating areas. I covered another piece of white card with an adhesive sheet, then coated it with
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I added the
Paulette die cut with foam over the top of the glittered background. Mounting foam was added to the back of the frame and then attached over the background. Using the
Double Stitched Ovals, I made a small frame. I added it with foam over another piece of white card, then added it to the centre of the card. I glued the sentiment in the middle of the frame and added the flowers around the edge. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. Hi Sue what a fantastic colour I need those Aura flakes, sometimes photos don't do justice to something as pretty and the sparkle and sheen is missed but they stand out beautifully. I think my little craft shop has had to close due to the pandemic, it was a hobby turned into a shop and as we drove by yesterday (explanation to later post on yesterday's blog) the shutters are still down and I'm really sad, as she was my help my friends, my way to Creative Expressions the report would remind her to ring during a visit to see if I needed anything, a loss that is really sad to her customers. I just love waking up to beauty and friends so you can imagine how I missed popping in early but it was a whirlwind that was more special than anything at the moment or it would be if my daughter realized that breaking my shielding was important to me for her (nurses are difficult daughters at times) lol STAY SAFE EVERYONE YOU'RE VERY PRECIOUS xxx 💖

Morning Sue, those Aurora flakes are beautiful and make a lovely border. Funnily enough I had my gilding flakes out yesterday and ended up with them everywhere.

A sad morning for us today. We are saying our last goodbyes to my lovely brother by scattering his ashes at my Mum and Dads grave. This was his wish. Because of the Covid it had to be delayed as gatherings were not allowed. Now some of the rules have changed and today was chosen as the day. I miss him very much.
