Happy Anniverrsary

Hi crafters!  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Rainbow Hearts 3D embossing folder. I cut the Tulip Flower Square in white and glued it to a piece of acetate.  I used the Rose Quartz crystal tint to fill in the tulip and the Green Emerald crystal tint to fill in the leaves and stem.  I did two coats then allowed it to dry and cut one more tulip square and glued it over the top to hide any marks left on the die cut.  I cut a backing square covered with a sticky adhesive piece and added Iced Flake to it.  I glued the Tulip Flower Square to the top of it.  I added a black shadow square then added it with foam in the upper corner of the background.  I cut the Happy Anniversary in black and added it to a white shadow, then glued it in the lower corner.  White and black mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are
6 1/2" x  7" in size.

Don't forget to check back later today for the list of winners from the April die release blog launch.  It should be online by late afternoon.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. A lovely colourful start to a winter's morning in May ! Tulips are one of my favourite spring flowers but don't last long which is such a shame, unlike this tulip for life. This is one die hidden in a box of chocolates at Easter, my craft knife has been used to sneakily to break the cellophane at the opening where the box opened, the plastic layer of chocs removed and square flower dies added then the chocolate layer placed back and snippits of cellotape covered where the cellophane had been carefully opened, talk about crafty, I'm sure he'd make an excellent spy lol. So I'm looking forward to trying all the lovely ways you've shown us to make the prettiest of cards to add a smile to someone's day. I hope today is a better day for you Sue and that those lingering bugs are moving out one by one. Sending hugs xxx

Hi Sue
Lovely bright and cheerful card for a very wet morning here in West Sussex.
I am not complaining about the rain, however, as we badly need it as the ground is so dry.
Love the embossing folder, too!
