Flying Santa

Hello crafters!  Welcome to the Mini release featuring the Industrial Chic Christmas dies.  There are eleven dies in this mini launch, all from the Industrial Chic themed Christmas collection.  I know that they won't be to everyone's liking, but hopefully you will look at them with an open mind.  I wanted to design something that was really different that would possibly appeal to those of you that love the steampunk look.  These dies can be made to look as elegant or as grungy as you like so they are incredible versatile.  We are giving away a set of each of the dies so leaving your comments will get you entered into the drawings.  I just ask that you make sure your name is different from anyone else leaving comments so add an initial or funny alias or the town you are from; just someway for me to make sure that it is you.  We are starting with one of my favourites, the Flying Santa.  Shown here in gloss white against a pixie powder background, the steampunk detail to Santa's flying machine is outstanding.  Personally I would love to see Santa deliver pressies this way! LOL   Leave your comment n this post if you like this one and would love a chance at winning it!.  The next post will be at 12 noon today.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh this is a really nice die, my granddaughter would love this on her card, she is still at an age when she believes in Father Christmas, such a special time for all children.

Hello Sue, what a fabulous and fun die, and your card is just brilliant. I think I am really going to enjoy this release, because you don't always want traditional for Christmas cards, especially for teenagers and more modern and funky families. Have a good day everyone. Bx

Who knew Santa also likes tinkering with rocket ships?!? Or is that Rudolfkenstein, the red-nosed zeppelin? Maybe the reindeer aren't available for sleigh pulling this year because they're all appearing on so many hand-crafted cards.

I'm interested in how you made those ephemeral, other-worldly rays in the Pixied background.

Apparently you have noting to fear, this darling card has won us over!

Donita,
The one in Rhode Island.

Ho Ho Ho Sue (yeah I know, cheesy and predictive) but hey why not lol. I've been trying to think about the different style of dies you've given us over the past year and 'steam punk' didn't even enter my head - no great surprise I suppose ! To be fair I'd trim the Santa from his 21st century flying machine as the kind of people I meet at market have never enquired if I have or do this style of card, and as you're aware it's not my style but I know I'll see some superb cards made with this die with all sorts of backgrounds and mixtures of other dies so that I'm looking forward to along with the next new die. See ya'll later and have a productive morning xxx

Well, this certainly makes for a refreshing change from the usual reindeer-powered sleigh! And, of course, as with most of your designs, it would be so easy to use just the airship or the sledge on its own, with a few simple snips. Snip away Santa and turn the airship vertically, and you have a space rocket too! Or, with some aquatic accompaniments, it could be a Jules Verne-esque submarine!!
A fun die with lots of possibilities.
