Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  Today's card giveaway is truly a die cut does it all sort of card!  I started in the centre by cutting two of the Magnolia Adornments in white and glued them end to end and matted them on a piece of Blue Dusk card.  I added a white and a thin black mat to it too.  I cut the Melbourne die in white and backed it in black and added it atop the two adornments.  Next I cut two of the New Zealand tags in blue dusk and backed them in white.  I crisscrossed them and added them on top of the Melboune.  I stamped my sentiment in black and then created a black circular frame for it by using the circle dies fro the Maggie die set.  I added three small blue flowers to the edge.  I cut two more of the Magnolia Adornments in white and glued the edges behind the edge of the mat.  I seated the entire piece on to a piece of coconut white card of which I had pierced down two sides.  I added another mat layer with the same colour combo then proceeded to add my final mats and layers to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9 1/4" in size.  Please leave me a comment if you would like to be included into the drawing to win this card.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a beautiful giveaway card today Sue, love the Magnolia dies, looks so good on here.

NannaTina, hoping that Mick is improving a little each day. Tracey you and your Dad are in my thoughts.

I had some really good news yesterday, I have been signed off by the wound clinic, amazing after nearly 7 weeks the infection etc. has all cleared up and the scar is healing nicely, she said I still need to be careful with it for a while but I was over the moon, even though they were all so wonderful and caring, I was so pleased to get that news.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi sue.
What s stunner of a card. So much detail to look at its smashing.

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes prayers etc. u fortunately I had to take dad to docs yesterday morning. Then he got worse with pain and can't even keep liquids down
So off to a&e with him. Was a struggle to get him to go but I'm a walk over and younger sister is the boss so she shouted at him an off we went.
They've kept him in after vsrious tests n X-rays dunno why when they know he is terminal. Anyhow after 6 hours we finally got to the main consultant so he's got a spot for putting in a stent to my dads gullet to help him eat a little better.so that's on fri all going well They definitely can't remove the tumour.
It was distressing to hear and I was so tired after all the running around I did yesterday.
Spoke to dad this morning and he's much perkier after having a drip put in an a wee shot of morphine for his pain.
All he wants is mince an tatties and can't eat it. He even eyed up a salad being made on TV and he hates salad. But I guess he's desperate to eat. I feel so helpless that I can't do anything apart from be there. But I guess that's just what I'll have to do.
Thanks for letting me ramble today.
Thank u blog friends for being there and dear sue too xx

June. Glad ur finally on the mend

Elaine. Thinking of u and ur son. Best wishes and hugs coming ur way xx

fluffycat said...

Hi Sue, wow this is certainly one for those that love lots of frills. I think I may have said before that the Magnolia adornment die has to go on the list, there are just so many ways to use it. I agree with one or two others that the central section would make a beautiful card on its own.

June - fantastic news, now you can start building yourself up again.
Tracy - just being there is all that your dad will want and he certainly won't want you to run yourself down just as you are getting better.
Elaine H - my thoughts have been with you and your son (popped on earlier but no time to comment) and I hope that the operation went well.

Well ladies (esp. 'P' and Laine), Pippin is no longer Pippin, he is J or Jay and actually belongs with a close neighbour who wasn't in when I went round the neighbourhood. It seems odd that none of the other neighbours recognised him but he is a bit of a fraidy cat so has maybe kept out of their way. His 'mum' has promised that she will be getting him neutered very soon and although I shall stop feeding him I feel sure we will still get regular visits.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Once again you have spoiled us with an utterly stunning creation that is a delight to the senses. The magnolia adornment is a gorgeous, intricate die that lifts any card that it graces to a new level of awesomeness. I love the colour combination, it really suits the design and brings the card to life. It will be one very fortunate Wilsonette who adopts this little beauty, good luck one and allxxx
Well, summer has well and truly arrived in Central Scotland , it has been positively balmy and all thoughts of housework and Cardmaking have flown out of the window as I top up my tan Slush Puppy in hand:-) Brodie and Darcey have been flagging in the heat though as our fur babies generally do in the warm weather.....it still hasn't stopped Brodie staying out from 6 am, he's afraid to have a lie down and rest no matter how tired he feels in case he finds the window shut on his return.
Apparently there will be a one day wonder featuring Sues dies on Friday, unfortunately it won't be Sue presenting them though:-( There may be special prices because it will be featuring her Festive Collection from last year. I am so looking forward to the launch of her new collection later this month, we will be in for a real treat but I better get a move on and buy some of the last collection before I fall ridiculously behind.
June, excellent news, you must be so pleased.
Elaine, thinking of you and your son, hope his operation went wellxxxx
Tracy, I am so sorry to hear the bad news about your Dad, it comes at particularly difficult chapter in your life and I can only wish you and him well in the coming weeks and months. I hope that you find the strength and courage to carry you through this and that your Dad is in as little discomfort as possible. Life can be so cruel at times but hopefully the stent will make him more comfortable and able to eat something. Take carexxx
Pat, good news for Sarah as she prepares for her surgery, two yeRs is a ridiculously long time to wait, best wishesxxx
Frances, Awww how sad that you will have to return Pippin/Jay to his real owner, you must have gotten super attached. I do hope he visits though, his owner must be so relieved to have him back because there is nothing worse than your fur baby going missing.
Huge hugs to my bestie Yvonne, Beth, Maria, Theresa, Lorraine, Lynda, Linda, Rebecca, P, Pam, Jan and all my Wilsonette buddiesxxx
