Fire and Ice with Gold and Silver

Hello my crafty friends!  I usually do my Fire and Ice technique with either black, white or milk card as the base.  I thought I would try it with silver for today's card.  I hope you like it!!

The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue and all
Love this card, fire and ice in silver. I can't believe it, I was daydreaming about cards to make this morning when I woke up and it was a bit cold to get out of bed, and thought about fire and ice with my silver gilding flakes, very spooky lol !
Definitely have to play with this one

What a fantastic way to start the day. A visit with you in that wonderful craft room and a gorgeous gift from you too.
Fire and Ice is always a knock out winner giving such an impact and making everything look very very expensive.
Gold and Silver oh just how many occasions does that combination fix. So so many.
Thank you for a wonderful start to my day.

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Good morning Sue & Wilsonettes
I know, Wow, me up this early!! Had to take hubby to the station. Just pinching myself to make sure I'm awake!
Well Sue, what a beauty! I love the fire and ice technique but not had the courage to have a go yet and I don't have any of the glitters or guilding flakes, how on earth have I managed without them?
The colours on this card are really unusual and the flowers are stunning. The Vancouver die is gorgeous, it has an art nouveou look to it which I love.
Does anyone have any packaging suggestions? I'm not well up on making boxes and wondered what you all do to present/post your cards, is their anything easy? Thanks.
Have a great day all, love and blessings

Hi Sue. A lovely card. I don't usually think to put gold and silver together but they look beautiful on here. I will be trying it myself now : ) Love the gold/silver ribbon too.

Deb Curtis, unless it is a flat card that fits easily into a normal envelope I find it easier to make a box rather than an envelope, and it stops the card getting damaged too. There are lots of tutorials online to help you, and they are very easy to make to fit your card, no matter what size it is once you have made one or two practice ones (out of
copier paper so that you don't wasting precious card) I hope that helps you. Good luck : )

Sending my daily hugs to everyone. Take care xx

Good morning Sue,

DEB CURTIS:- I often wrap my cards in co-ordinating Tissue Paper tied with pretty ribbon.
If posting I pop in a Jiffy Bag, whoever is getting the card, is receiving a pretty little package when the open the Jiffy Bag.
I also do cards with Tissue & Ribbon to hand over if I have flowers and ribbon Bows on them ...... hope this helps.

Hi Sue. Beautiful card and smashing informative video. Thank you.

DEBS - I find that if you really want to add a lot of Sue's flower's etc on an extra special card, either a box (which needs to be made from really strong card if you are making and posting it but really protected with bubble wrap and padded mail bag (which will be really expensive to send) or a nicely decorated Envelobox (like an envelope but with the depth of a box) just type envelobox into the browser and you will find the appropriate websites. Hope this has helped.

Have a good day Sue whatever your plans. Hope you are ok ?

Top of the morning to you Sue and amazing Wilsonettes!

Yeah! Video day! But I will have to save this little treat till later, have an emergency doctors appointment- my blood results for my heart are back and the doctor wants to see me I'm sure it will be something and nothing though, still have to wait a week for the 24hr monitor so things will be a lot clearer then I hope!
Back to today's little gem- I just love the fire and ice technique but I haven't tried it myself as yet so I will refresh my memory later and try it as soon as poss. Can I just point out that the flowers are amazing - I knew you couldn't go longer than 2 days without using flowers or indeed ribbon Sue:-) note to self, I will really need to stock up on some gilding flakes and Iced Snow for my impending Christmas card onslaught.
Deb C I find that if you cannot hand deliver the cards then a large padded envelope with fragile on it works well- though, do make sure it is the correct address because my mum sent two of my handcrafted Sue type cards to her best friend and former neighbour recently only to put the wrong number on the envelope!!??!?how could she forget the number when we lived next door for 19years! Suffice to say the cards were never located so it may be wise not to entrust your lovingly handmade works of art to a forgetful family member!:-)
Have a lovely day everyone and take care.

Thank you once again Sue! Lovely flowers!
Deb C - I think everyone has covered everything I do! You can buy boxes which just need to be folded. However that's a bit expensive. I most often use the Jiffy Bag trick . Your envelope can then be decorated so that when the bag is opened it looks pretty. Patricia's is a good tip too. Hope some of the tips will help you.

Love the Fire and Ice on silver card, it looks stunning x Great video as always too, they're a joy to watch....I may take a while but I get there...lol! I don't know who made your necklace Sue, but it is beautiful. Love the colours, it draws you in and how it matches your top. Anyway, "thank you" Sue for all that you do xx Love Karen xx
