Heartfelt Thanks

Hello there my crafty friends!  It is time for a clean and simple card today.  Silver and shades of blue for this one, a really lovely combo I think!  I started with a piece of  antique silver card and used the Dotty Daisy embossing folder to add texture to it.  I cut a piece of coconut white card on the diagonal and added it to the bottom of the card.  Next I cut a strip using the Stitched Zigzag Borders out of Arctic Blue, Sky Blue and Bluebell card.  I glued them together tightly on to a larger piece of antique silver card.  I then used the same zigzag dies to cut them into a larger piece by butting the dies right up next to the card on either side.  This gave me a thin border on each side where the stitching came out onto the silver card before cutting it.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it and added it diagonally across the card.  I used the Spiral Pearl Flower to make a pretty vellum flower and added it at the top of the strip with two white leaves as accents.  On the top portion of the card, I cut the Camilla die in white and added it with foam.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the circle die from the centre of that die set.  I added it with foam to the middle of the Camilla die.   The card was completed with white, Bluebell and antique silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are        7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.

Tomorrow is the launch for the September die release.  I am really pleased with the release and there are quite a few lovely and fresh new designs too!  I do hope you can join me here at 6am to kick it all off and, as usual, take part in the die giveaway!  All for now, Sue x

I wouldn't hesitate to send a card like this to a male recipient. After all, there are lots of gardening men out there who love growing flowers, my late father being one of them.
