Hello there my crafty friends! This was my first demo of the past weekend, so having an extra card makes it perfect for a giveaway! Leave me a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one. I started with a piece of
vintage gold card and used the
Brisbane cutting edge to cut an aperture in the centre of the card. I embossed the card with the
Rose Blooms Pinpoint embossing folder. Next I cut the decorative portion of the
Brisbane die out of
coconut white card. I added a piece of
black card behind it, then centred it behind the aperture opening in the embossed gold card. Next I cut the
Rococo Striplet out of
coconut white card and I cut the backing out of black card. I used the decorative part of the die to imprint, rather than heavily emboss, on to a piece of
vintage gold card. I used the impression to hand cut the centre sort of diamond design out. I glued it behind the cut out white striplet, then added the solid black backing piece behind it. I used a paper cutter to cut it directly down the centre and I glued each half to the top and bottom of the embossed gold card. I cut a
double strip of pearls down the centre and added them along the edge of each side of the striplet. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the
Pierced Flags die and edged it with a gold paint pen. I created a dimensional flower using the
Sweetheart flower, then inked it with a gold paint pen and glittered it with
Iced Snow. I seated it at the end of the sentiment strip on a piece of
white tulle and gold cording (from my stash). I made two matching
stick pins to add to the floral element as accents. I completed the card with white, gold and black mat layers and my usual piercing around the edge. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. There will be a slight delay in announcing the winner this week as I will be away at Ally Pally for the weekend, but I will announce the winner on Monday's blog post this week. All for now, Sue x

Oh yes Sue, I remembered this one as soon as the page opened and it looks just as beautiful now as it did as you were working your magic last weekend.
Depending on outside temp today I may go up to my little craft shop to put my order in for the mounting foam and new polish, if i cant physically get there i shall make a phone call (I suppose the temptation isn't there to buy if I phone instead) !

Very pretty card Sue. I saw you demonstrate that rose and I must give it a go. I have that die and love the flowers it makes and the added bonus of the hearts from the waste of the outline ones. Hi Sue. I also saw you make this card on TV and was excited to see how you backed the triplet die cut with 2 different colours. I thought that the only way of doing this would be to cut the die in all the different colours and then to use the waste to fill the various sections in. This is very fiddly and time consuming. Your way is so much easier.

It's extremely windy down here in my part of Cornwall but as I look out of the window I can see a blue sky and bright sunshine. Of course, the wind makes it too cold to stay outside for more than a couple of seconds and when I took the rubbish out just now I almost took off...yes the wind was THAT strong lol.
Today's card is just amazing. The background looks like pale leather! I love the flower and, of course, any time you add your wonderful stick pins the card is a winner in my eyes.

Been resting and recovering this week so far. Last week I even sewed in dark glasses during one session as migraines and spine tried their best to stop me. I was so pleased I could help even if I pushed myself to the limit. Oddly, it is quite nice to do that time to time, really push my luck. Almost like saying "F.U" to my body, like a stroppy teenager! Body and brain did decide I needed some time out this week, a couple of visits from Mr Migraine and I have to say at just gone 8pm I'm ready for bed!

Fabulous card and yes I bought the ef t after seeing you demo it on Hochanda but I bought mine from my local craft shop.
You bashing the flower was a brilliant moment. Those that missed the shows might be able to get them on Hochanda's catch up.
